Has anyone tried the GPP for the iphone 4s for virgin mobile? I need to get the iphone 4s unlocked and cant find out another way

I have an iPhone 4 (CDMA) currently on iOS 6.1.2 and would like to do a restore and keep it on the same iOS so that I can re-jailbreak it. Would I use DFU mode? I have the links for the 6.1.2 firmware.

I got a iphone4s jailbreak running on 5.0.1. An i been having trouble with recieving calls an text messages. So i called verizon an they said i need to upgrade. So i tryed upgrading to 6.1.2 an i keep gettin error. Tryin to fix my phone an rejailbreak it. But keep gettin the dam error. So is there anyway to restore phone to 6.1.2 or has apple won to keep use from jbing our iphones

Anyone here have edited the files in a carrier bundle? I know the basics like how to install a modified carrier bundle on a jailbroken device, but have questions about parameters in carrier.plist, overrides_N41_N42.plist, and overrides_N41_N42.pri files.

I am looking at T-Mobile USA carrier bundle and there are a few things I would like to understand or do

1) In overrides_N41_N42.pri, I see a key for WCDMA with a value of 49151 for "Band Class Pref b16-b31". What are these value? I suspect this is a bit mask where I could control band preference on whether 1700 or 1900 is preferred for HSPA+ (also known as WCDMA) service, when both bands are available. T-Mobile does HSPA+ on both 1700 (AWS) and 1900 (PCS) bands. If I become aware it is running faster on one band or the other, it might be desirable to select one or the other instead of it being automatic.

2) In carrier.plist I see a key "apns" and each APN has a "type-mask" which I think is a bit mask of flags to control when the APN is used. I am looking for current info on the bit positions in this mask. Also, how might I control whether or not an APN is editable?

3) I would like to be able to have EDGE, 3G/4G (HSPA+), and LTE switches to turn on/off the data radios independently. I especially would like to disable EDGE altogether so my phone ignores the EDGE only tower near my workplace and uses the weaker 3G HSPA+ one.

4) How do I control the mobile hotspot feature, as to whether it is enabled or disabled?

Does anyone have any comments on any of these items, even if you know about just one of them?

I was able to unlock the phone, Phone works on tmobile and MMS works.
Texting or i massage does not work?
Can anyone tell me if is my phone issue or GPP issue.

please bare with me because i am not very familiar with iphone. so because i have bypassed the pattern lock on android and helped a few friends with their phones someone asked me to look at their iphone.

he said it was given to him with no sim card. hence my main issue

i figured out it is a 3gs and i did figure out the imei number and thats about it.

he just wants to use it over wifi like an ipod for apps and what not. i have no idea what carrier it had before, i do have a couple sim cards. is there a way to wipe the sim clean so the iphone will accept i or is there any hidden menus or codes i could use. please help me i cant get passed the activation screen and itunes wont recognize it. any ideas???????????????

ok im new to the method of jailbreaking can some one please post what version i need of redsnow and what other files like firmware do i need and the process step by step
