Looking to get a phone under $200 outright, but it must have a physical keyboard. Thus I was looking at Blackberrys and saw that Mobilicity have the 9320 and 9790 on sale.

Since their shop is a bit far from my home, I wanted to ask beforehand if they phones only, as I plan to use the phone on chatr.

Will Mobilicity customers be allowed to run on Telus towers, after Telus buyout?

Is it me only, it seems like Mobilicity data has become totally unusable the past few days. The speed is really slow. Worse yet, latency is so bad I get time outs a lot. I wonder if this is due to a whole bunch is Telus customer wannabes trying to get a cheap plan through Mobilicity?

Mobilicity becoming part of TELUS is one step closer. Mobilicity’s debtholders have voted in favour and approved the $380 million acquisition, which includes their 250,000 subscribers and 150 employees. Stewart Lyons, Mobilicity’s President and CEO, said “This is a significant step towards final approval of the Plan through which the business, combined with the financial strength of TELUS, can be continued in a way that will benefit our customers and employees.”

The next steps for the carrier to be swooped into TELUS is to gain the “required approvals” from both the Competition Bureau and Industry Canada. Mobilicity has a scheduled hearing with the courts on May 28th, but Christian Paradis, Canada’s Industry Minister, communicated last week that “the government will take the time required to review the proposal carefully.” Both Mobilicity and TELUS are aiming for the acquisition to close by June 10th.

Telus is planning on preserving Mobilicity's 150 remaining employees (such we are told). Stewart Lyons is one of Mobilicitys first employees . There seems to be some discrepancy in regards to this but for this exercise is irrelevent.

So if Telus is to acquire Mobilicity rescuing them from the void of mediocrity as some would have it believed, lets assume Stewart Lyons goes along with the settlement.

When Telus Exec. John Entwhistle calls Stewart Lyons on his grandfathered Mobilicity line to give him his "I Helped Stop Consolidation" T Shirt how will Mr Entwhistle address Stewart ?

Hey everyone!

So I caved and bought the Wife an Iphone 5 today. Cut the sim down, And I have data / and connected to Mobilicity... However whenever I try to send / recieve an MMS, I get the "Failed" message.

I setup the APN settings for Data (Didn't have data until I did it) and I setup the MMS settings, but still no go.

Anyone have Iphone 5 with MMS working? If so, can you post a screenshot of your APN settings for MMS?

I just activated the plan today, I heard MMS can take a day or two to become active, but it doesn't make sense to me. Hoping It's just an incorrect setting on my phone, any help would be appreciated! Thanks

What's the best course of action, any opinions?

I have a 647 number with Mobilicity. So when I visit Ottawa, how does long distance charges work if I call a GTA number? I thought that I would have to pay long distance to call a GTA number and calls to Ottawa become local calls. Did I get that right?
