RON works fine for outgoing calls on my laptop, but doesn't work for incoming calls since I registered for RON. My mobile phone rings when someone dials my number, nothing happens on RON on my laptop, no audio, no displaying incoming call.

My Dell laptop is connected directly to Motorola ADSL modem(2210-02-10NA) via cable.

Rogers support asked me to open some ports, however I don't know how to do it:

For RON to work, the following ports must be open and accessed by RON:
•SIP/TLS ports 5060/5061
•Port 5061 will need to be open for TLS signaling
•RTP Range 10000-30000 (access)
•RTP Range 49152-65535 (client)
•The RTP/RTCP ports are required for media (audio and video)
•Port 554 & 8554, both TCP and UDP should be enabled for audio (these are standard RTSP ports)

Anyone come cross the similar issue?

I am A CSR for a semi prominent wireless company doing research for my bosses and in the interests of competition I would like an idea of what sort of offers (in general) that Rogers will give a customer willing to leave as I want to stay ahead of the curve, I will be of course lurking and doing independent research but I plan on also getting a general idea of the experience and what is commonly offered.

Side note - Can you guys confirm how they structure their retention plans?

- I am often seeing Approx. 20$ for limited minutes talk and unlimited weekends. (but I don't see included text?)

I have confirmed this as a plan: what variations are you getting?

-Unlimited Canada-wide calling
LTE 3GB BB Data Svc Plan
Messaging Bundle Unlimited
Call Display and Visual Voicemail
Flex Rate Data

$59 per month

And Im seeing this as a top level plan:

Unlimited Voice and Txt Plan(Unlimited in and out anywhere in Canada)
(Unlimited outgoing calls and TXT USA/CANADA) within Canada
Unlimited Incoming anywhere in Canada
Unlimited International Texting
LTE 6GB Data
Android Value Pack with Visual Voicemail Includes Rogers Live TV)
Rogers One Number
Call Manager
Who Called
Call Forwarding/Call Transfer
Total For this plan is $76.21
Retention “value packs”
$10 2500 texts CID voice mail.

If I can provide exposition on my position and such I will do so at a later date. Just know we are trying to learn more to help provide a bit more competition in the retention space and if I can I will provide more exposition later.

Any confirmation and any extra background would be MORE than appreciated (i.e i know they provide corporate plans)

Also what sort of things do you need to do to get these offers (i.e. did they call you with the offer after an attempted port or did you have to call in?)

Thank you all for your time.
