My EVO 4G is coming up on 2 years old. Just recently, the "People" app started crashing. When I tap "People" on the Home screen, the People (Contacts) app opens for a couple seconds, then closes with this dialog:

"Sorry! The application People (process com.android.htccontacts) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

At the bottom of the dialog is a "Force close" button. Tapping it closes the dialog. Reopening People has the same result: crash.

I've rebooted the phone several times, and uninstalled the most recent app I installed (Weather.com), to see if there was a conflict. No joy.

The phone has all updates current. Android v. 2.3.5 Software #5.07.651.6 71ORD

Any ideas what I can do to get the People app to work again? Thanks.
