Hi, I've been set up with AV for a few days now. I'm now exploring how to ensure that I keep my account balance up without overfilling it. There's no need for me to spend more than than AV's minimum ($10 per 90 days on a pay-as-you-go) on this particular line.

The thread title says it all: I'd like to autorenew every 90 days rather than every 30 days. Does anyone have experience with AV's autorenew in this regard? Everything I find online suggests that it has to be done monthly.

I lent my phone to my wife to take out of town with her. She can text me, but when she tried to call me, the phone asked for a PIN.
I've never setup a PIN on the phone.

is it maybe roaming? Does Airvoice block/lock roaming?

..how do I add minutes to my airvoice account when the month ends? I started this service on the 9th of May and got a $30 plan. I am guessing that expires on the 8th of June? So, I will have to add minutes to my account on 9th morning? If I add the minutes on anytime before that (let's say 6th June), do I get a validity till 5th July, or till 8th July? Does that make sense? On the other hand, if I use the autorefill feature, that gets activated on the 8th of June?

I am sorry if it doesn't make any sense, but wanted to clarify this.

Thinking about switching ove to Airvoice, initially with an old unlocked Optimus T to test drive the service. The T uses a mini SIM. Does anyone have any experience transferring their account to a new SIM? Any new phone I would buy will likely use a micro SIM, and for .99 on ebay I'd prefer to just buy one than try to cut mine if the time comes. Also, is there any restriction to buying a new Gophone and using it on Airvoice, like Pageplus has to do with Verizon prepaid phones?

I tried to get picture messaging many months ago on my iphone 4 with ios 6 and was told that picture messaging doesn't work on ois 6

So today I called airvoice again to see if I could get picture messaging to work on my iphone..... and the csr said.... is your iphone using ios 6 ? I said yes, and she said that picture messaging doesn't work on ios 6

This is just strange...... why dosen't it work on ios 6 ? are not most iphones on ois 6 ?

My main line on T-Mobile has pretty much unlimited everything, but I like having an extra line for stuff like Craigslist, so I've had a grandfathered $25/mo Virgin Mobile plan for ages now. I don't sell as much now so I decided to go for something cheaper. That's where Airvoice comes in.

I've had my Airvoice line for a few weeks and I've spent $4.30 on service, including tonight where I had a few calls and text messages for something I had for sale on CL. I expect to spend $3-10/mo on service which is great!

I leave 3G/cell data turned on (for iMessage, which works great BTW, and was way cheaper than texting tonight since the person who was texting me also had iMessage) and iOS doesn't have widgets or anything so I don't have to worry about runaway data charges. $0.33/MB is not cheap but it's way better than $0.99/MB on Page Plus (I leave 3G/cell data OFF on my PP phone) and is fine for a quick Google search.

All in all, I'm extremely pleased. I haven't been able to get MMS working (I've tried putting my T-Mo SIM in, saving the MMS settings, then putting my AV SIM back in) but nothing has worked. No big deal. Calls/text/data work so that's fine. Down the road I'd like to get an iPhone 4/4S (the 3GS feels dated, especially next to my iPhone 5!) but the 3GS was cheap and works suprisingly well.

New to the forum. I am currently on an Airvoice $30 monthly plan. I am having particular trouble with the voicemail and conditional forwarding.

My problem is I cannot change voicemail number (e.g. to Google Voice) or change conditional forwarding settings. At the same time, I cannot extend my ring time by command **61*+2027144248**30#

This is particularly annoying, because now a call is forwarded to voicemail in about 15 seconds, usually not enough for me to grab the phone out of my bag... When I was on their $10 plan, I definitely could make such adjustment. The conditional forwarding also worked in the first two days when I switched to $30 plan.

Is this Airvoice restriction on the $30 plan or is this a particular problem on my case? Thank you for any input.
