An interesting application has come out today. Dell voice powered by Fongo.
providing an alternative to Google Voice and other VOIP services at some very aggressive rates.

I was reading this over at MobileSyrup and wanted to share it here as well to start a discussion.

The service is offered free and is available on PC, iPhone and Android. A Blackberry version is in the works.
You are provided a Canadian phone number, or you can port your existing number over if you're so inclined.
This gives you access to the ability to make free calls to numbers in 30 large metropolitan areas. Some of which are Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. ...

Yesterday, I came across one of those things on the internet that made me stop and say "self, now that is something you can use." I shared it on Facebook and Twitter and I wanted to share it here and see what you guys think of this product.

The Devium Dash is an in car radio that will replace your OEM / after market unit. Coming in a double din size it will take up the whole radio cavity. As long as your car supports a double din you're good to go. ...

HoFolicity was a meetup for HowardForums users hosted by Mobilicity.

For the event Mobilicity was kind enough to bring out some of their employees including CEO Stewart Lyons along with 2 people from Ericsson - the vendor who runs their network to help answer our questions.

Even if you're not a Mobilicity customer it's worth checking out the video as it has a lot of insights from people who run the network.

The event was a blast. I had an awesome time hanging out with all of you.

Check out the cool T-shirts that Mobilicity prepared for the event (thanks Sheryl!). It's a reference to a contest we had in the Mobilicity forum last year.

A big thanks to Mobilicity for putting on a great event and thanks to all the members who showed up. Congrats to forum user loykee on winning a Galaxy Nexus and good luck baby HoFo. (Loykee's 38.5 weeks pregnant!)

Check out our written coverage here.

WATERLOO, Ontario—After 20 years together at the helm of Research In Motion Ltd., Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis, the company's co-chief executives, said they planned to turn over the top job early Monday to a little-known company insider as part of a board and management shuffle.
With the co-CEO's stepping down, what effect do you think that will have on the future of the company and its products? Talk about it in the forum discussion link below.

Google quietly rolled out this feature a few days back. Like the title says, you can now delete e-mails from your GMail Exchange account on your iPhone, rather than archive. You'll need to go to the Google Sync's mobile site on your iOS browser and change a setting. It's all explained here:

Starting Sunday, AT&T will be raising the prices and allocated data of smartphone data plans.

The 200MB plan is going to 300MB for $20

The 2GB plan is going to 3GB for $30

    The $45 4GB w/tethering is going to $50 for 5GB

I'm assuming people will be able to keep current data plans, but these look better than the current ones (besides the grandfathered unlimited)

Steve Wozniak, Apple Wunderkind cedes that Android has a few advantages over iOS.
He goes on to name navigation and even, GASP, Voice commands as some of his features that best iOS.

He even surfaced at the Google campus to get his hands on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and it's Ice Cream Sandwich goodness, but ultimately prefers the RAZR.
