*EDIT* TELUS has confirmed they're getting the One X+. It's actually coming 'soon' so It's probably going to be a Q4 phone. The HTC webpage says it will come with 64GB of storage.

Just heard a rumor that the HTC One X+ is coming to TELUS in January. I think it's going to be a 16GB version in white.

Apparently, the One X+ will look virtually identical to the One X. I don't have other details on exact specifications but other rumors are saying the One X+ will sport Android 4.1 Jellybean, a quad-core 1.6Ghz Tegra 3 AP37 SOC with LTE support. Otherwise, it's quite similar to the One X. 4.7" Super LCD, 8MP, etc.

The timing seems about right for a refresh of the One X. Come January HTC will need something to keep consumers interested, while they wait for phones which are announced at CES (in January) to become available.

*Update* Now they're telling people to come back in 2 hours. Uh oh, the smugness is taking over!*/Update*

As someone who wanted to line up for an iPhone but couldn't because Apple isn't allowing users to buy unlocked, I can't help but feel a little smug.

I've just been told by someone that the lineup at the Apple store has stopped moving because all 3 carriers activation systems have crashed.

    <sarcasm>What a surprise, this never happened with the iPhone 3G, 3Gs, 4 and 4s launches</sarcasm>

So now, Apple isn't selling any more iPhones because they can't activate any more phones.

What they should do is have a separate allocation for unlocked buyers and allow each person to only buy one. ...

I just got word that Bell customers will no longer be able to roam while they're visiting Iran. This is due to the Government of Canada's sanctions regarding Iran. So if you're going to Iran make sure you get a SIM card and forward your number.

To conform to Government of Canada sanctions regarding Iran [Special Economic Measures Act (SEMA)], network roaming has been shut down in Iran as of August 13, 2012.
    Thanks tipster!

This morning I've woke up to a lot of great information with in WIND. First off there is another "resignation"-cough- at WIND that will immensely be beneficial to the Retail Level. It's not a known name around here, but it's a good thing he's gone from the role so the retail teams can be better supported, by a true leader who has industry insight and knowledge. The previous guy's been there since launch and probably responsible for most of the worst hirings.

Next on to the good stuff, the Q2 update.

Okay guys, here's the scoop from WIND this morning.

    457,000 Customers
A net add on of 42,000 added in Q2.
    28,000 Post paid.
    20,000 Galaxy S III's sold from WIND.
(don't know why this point is impressive but it is, wonder what the other 8000 postpaid devices were )
461 Points of Distribution (Goal is to have 1000)

In the last 6 months they added an additional 1200 network sites. (okay..)

Agreed. The Lumia series looks amazing. Although at this point, with the popularity of the SGS 4 and the multi-window and such, I'm not sure that anything can beat Samsung.
