It appears that either something's missing in the configuration (I tried the files from my V557 to no avail) or the channels offered on the development site don't work anymore.
Are you able to do anything with th screen 3? What is this you speak of channels? I have screen 3 on my V9 but I was under the impression since at&t didn't support it I couldn't use it for anything. When I try to it says "Sorry, this function is not available to your operator".
I suggest searching for "Media Net Live Ticker" to find out what AT&T's iteration of SCREEN3 was all about on the V557. I had one, so I know what its supposed to do.Quote:

The way to use is truly not to, for "up to date information" use your browser. It was an intersting gimick......it had potential but Motorola and CIngular buried it. One of the original channels was rally information for rally races, kinda cool....Quote:

I am trying to get some of the original Motorola Ringtones into my V9, but am having a hard time doing so. The Chimes High, Chimes Low, Chord High, and Chord Low are not in the new V9. I tried installing the original .imy files using P2K Commander, but the MyTones.db is no longer used in the Audio folder so I can reset the options. So the files are there in the phone, but do not show up as Ring Tone options on the phone menu. I also have the tones as .mid files (from an older phone I had), but they do not play correctly on the V9. Any ideas on how to go about doing this?
have you tried transfering them through Motorola Phone Tools? Since they arent lengthy MP3's I wouldnt think you need to SEEM edit...
They are not MP3's. They are the Motorola .imy files. And MPT does not allow it to be transferred to the phone. I did use MPT to transfer the .mid files I have for the same ring tones, but they sound very different on the V9 versus the older RAZR the files came from. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Turns out the information on Xlr8's p2k05 map (SEEM 004a, offset 1ED) is incorrect. The correct offset (at least for the V9) is 1B7.
I don't remember seeing this mentioned around here. It works on my V9, changed it from the default vibrate to silent...
"In order to switch with the long pressing of the key “#” with the V9 not to the profile mute, but to the profile vibrating, the following is to be done:
SEEM 004a_0001 offset 1B7
set VALUE ton of 01 = softly
set VALUE ton 02 = vibrate
set VALUE ton 03 = vibe & ring
set VALUE ton of 04 = silent
set VALUE ton of 05 = vibe&ring
Tested with the German V9 software 02.03R without Branding from the forum."
