Me too. I had been in the office for a minute and thought I had put my phone down by the keyboard and when I moved a book I knocked it off of the top part of the desk. I about went nuts until I saw that nothing had really happened to it.

Hmm. Just got my V9 today, and added a skin from ModMyMoto and the blue/orange AT&T skin that comes on the V3xx.

I thought it was odd that the default AT&T skin on the V9 now looks like the Indium skins elsewhere.

So I just switched the names.

I've done quite a few mods to get it to my liking lol but I'm not all the way done.
I'm liking this phone pretty much, especially when it vibrates and you hold it up to your ear and you hear an out-of-this-world metallic drone-like thing. It's pretty cool.

But I'm really disappointed that you can't do more with the outer screen.
It's basically like a V6 MAXX in a different shell lol.
Without an internal camera, I might add.

But overall, I'm pleased to have one of at&t's top phones.

EDIT: This question came up earlier but was never answered.
Is there anyway you can get a traditional chinese language pack onto the V9? Would it involve extracting it from the V3xx or something?

Because a few of my asian friends use chinese characters as their Windows Live usernames and they don't show up so I don't know who is who.

It's my number one gripe about the Razr2. Booooo, Motorola!!!

I'm actually worried about that thing breaking off because it kinda ruins the whole sleekness of the phone.

The microUSB plug is sturdier than you think. I've had several V9 now, much used, and the plugs are intact.

The V9 plug is sturdier than the one on my V8 LE. On the V8, the flexible plastic is simply gued to the gold cover, and it's bound to come off.

In my point of view, as long as I avoid opening it too much and playing with it, it should stay for a while.

I'm still worried about it breaking off, but my contract ends in October and I'm sure there'll be another new phone that I'll be fantasizing about.

It seems a lot sturdier than the cover of the V3xx, since the V3xx's cover was held by three wimpy prongs.

And the V9 has a whole big one.
Lol if that makes any sense.

6. Click the copy button below the right window. p2k Commander should now upload the file to the phone and it'll read "Uploading Left to Right:" near the bottom of the left-side window. Now click the restart button.

I'm trying to change the picture on the external screen when the flip is open. I did this but the picture i s still the stock "M"?

v9 options menu

I had a v3xx that was warranty upgraded to a v9 due to an incompatibility with my s9 headphones. Thanks AT&T!

Anyhow, I have modified the options menu in a manner similar to George Knighton already using that mma_ucp editor, but I can only seem to add preconfigured items. In looking through the software it appears possible to add links to installed java apps, but I am not sure how. Anyone have some tips on how to do this?

Well THAT was weird...

Messing with the phone, had to restore my FB&3 backup. But lo and behold, CG1 only got about 3/4 of the way thru and it wouldn't go any further. Took the battery out and put it back in and it came up in bootloader. RSD wouldn't talk to it, so I tried FB&3 again. CG1 once again only got about 3/4 of the way done and crapped out. Took the battery out and put it in and it booted normally. Hmmm, do I know have a half-baked CG1 that may croak at any minute?

Just for grins, I tried to restore the entire backup with RSD one more time and it failed right away. I think the code was 7100. Time to search...

Hmm I had something weird happen to my V9 too.
One morning before I was heading out the door for church, my phone would keep freezing and the outer screen would freeze and there wouldn't be anything on the inner screen. I rebooted it but the same thing happened, or the whole phone would just freeze, both screens an all.

I took out the memory card, thinking that was the problem.
But it still happened.

So I figured the firmware was corrupt because it kept displaying something like "File system error. Media player functionality may be limited."
And wouldn't show any of the pre-loaded at&t crap.

Then I wanted to reflash the firmware, but when I connected it to my computer, everything was fine.

And still is.

Tried restoring at home and it worked fine.

So for grins I tried it again at work after I updated to the 3.5.0 release of the drivers and it worked fine here, too. I love USB... :rolleyes:
