It's held on with something that looks like double sided tape. It's really very easy to pry the old one off and stick the new one on.

You can do it yourself, probably.

It should be able to...
My V9 can hold a maximum of around 600 messages, which is combining inbox and outbox and drafts.

V9 language pack, shutdown sound/animation

I just got an AT&T Razr2 V9, which I like very much. Using information on this forum, I debranded it and modified menus to my liking. This forum is great, and the ability to mod the phone to my liking is one of the reasons why I buy Motorola. However, there are couple things I'd like to do but I could not find how to do them.

1. Is there a language pack that includes English (preferably US) and Russian for my phone (I had 002E on my previous moto). My SW version is R263311_U_9C.13.37R3.

2. After debranding, I have no shutdown animation and a different shutdown sound. How do I add the anumation and get rid of the sound?

Help will be greatly appreciated.

I figured this out. The trick was to go into the options and tell it to read J2MEST from the phone (and card if that is where your apps are). Then you can pick the Java Apps from a droplist. Nice.

im having trouble understanding what i need to do to mod my phone. i find this whole forum confusing. can anyone point me to the right posts and stuff to get me started? i'm mainly concerned with loading different themes and deleting some of the stupid stuff they have on the AT&T v9

I have a v3 which is working well for me on AT&T ...for travel to the EU (Belgium) is it gonna work well too with a drugstore simcard? I know the high speed internet uses different frequencies, but will I get the plain vanilla GPRS if I get the right card? Or should I run out and get the v9 ?? Also, does the v9 work with miniUSB 5 wire accessories for the v3 (charger, USB to mini USB cable, etc.) ??

Your V3 will work in the EU because it is a quad-band phone.
The at&t V9 and the V3 will NOT run high speed internet (I assume you're talking about 3G) because Europe uses the 2100mHz band and we use the 850/1900mHz bands.

The RAZR V3 doesn't have 3G. And depending on what version you have, it doesn't have EDGE either. The newerish ones do though.

So you could rent a phone over there or buy one that has the 2100mHz band.

From my experience, you'll get GPRS but I've only used my V3xx in Asia.
I do believe they work, as long as the V9 comes with the adaptor.

is there a way to make the outside (fun lights for lack of a better term) flash when i receive voice messages, text messages, and missed calls and stuff?

also, im running the iPhoneMoto skin, and there is a bug when im composing a text message, i have the word message at top and some other text written through it...any ideas how to fix that?

text message limit

hey guys,

just had my V9 replaced, bad pixels, and now I'm hitting a limit on text messages very quickly. Before replacement I could have over 200 texts in my inbox/outbox, now I can barely reach 40 before I receive warnings that my memory is full. Any suggestions on how to fix this
