I never completey finished it due to problems on my windows but still I made it look so real and the apps actually worked(stocks maps etc.) but I have not fired up the old windows partition on my mac in a while. Maybe when I do I will try to find the mp. It did turn out VERY impressive.

Thanks. I am also a Mac guy. MacBook Pro and a PowerMac. Also running Parallels for the Windows XP OS.

quick question guys (very noobish) - im planning on picking one of these up from x1387 - is there more than one version of the v9 - or can i assume that the units x1387 is selling are the us 3g variants?

I'm sorry, I think I must be really stupid, I've been searching around and around for a thread that will show me step by step how to do the seem edit to allow pop3 email function on my V9? Am I missing it??

How do I extract the system tones from the phone? I'm looking for the default alarm clock ringer (named "Classic") but I could not find it under Sounds or Music. Anyone can help? Tks!

The company where i work is a developer for ATT. We just got a V9x for testing. Is anyone familiar with the V9x and how it is different from the V9? Yup, the color is black.

Awesome an actual V9x finally. Well since knowone knows anything but rumors we couldn't say, but we have heard GPS? Also the touchscreen has more advanced capabilities like the euro & hong kong versions of the V9.

What color does it say on the box? How many features can you access from the external screen? GPS?

Any chance you can get some pictures?

If you can't can you answer these two questions:
-Can you access things from the outer screen other than music?
-Did the shape change at all?

What i see is the following:
1. Same shape / form. Color is black.
2. GPS
3. Pix, Music and Video (each with its own menu) can be accessed from outer screen.

Thank God its FINALLY coming. Its kinda like the iphone, what do they do? Change it to black...add GPS.
Of course the razr2 V9 has HAD 3G since inception.

The orginal V9 has been out of stock on AT&T's website for quite a while now and the AT&T stores in my area have only a few, if any, V9's left.

That's awesome. Perfect timing too, my V9 "accidentally" flew across the room and hit a wall about 8 feet away. Then it was picked up and "accidentally dropped" a few times more. Not a scratch on it and it still works, though there's something wrong with the hinge; it doesn't close all the way and it just feels like it's going to break sooner or later when i open or close it. My roommate has an unused v9m I might pull the two apart and see how easy it would be to rebuild/replace.

I did figure out why it wasn't letting me send sms messages to stored 5 digit numbers. I put the pager icon on them to easily tell them apart from regular numbers. Apparently the phone looks at the category to tell what sort of number it is. So thinking that it was really a number for a pager it would remove that contact from the "send to" list. My old V3cm didn't care what icon you put it under.
FYI in case anyone didn't know about this behavior.

i read on sandisk website that the v9 supports 4GB cards

i bought it at circuit city yesterday for $29 and plugged it into my new v9 and it doesnt think there's a card plugged in :(

Only the europe & Asia versions support 4GB. The N. American V9 tops out at 2GB.
