Call customer service and tell them your going out of the country and you need to unlock your phone. Usually they wont hassle you at all. Also just do a search HERE and you can find out. You will get the same advice though. Just to clearify though thats to "unlock" not "unbrand"
I'm actually not an AT&T customer. I am bought it on ebay because I thought it was unlocked, but it turns out it wasn't.
So I was hoping someone may be able to unlock the v9 another method.

Is AT&T ever getting the bluish-Razr 2 or should I get the unlocked bluish Razr 2 and mod it with AT&T software? I might do that anyway since you can get one for $279 brand new unlocked with no contract extension v. $249 at AT&T and a $50 rebate (and an additional charge of $18 for the upgrade fee).
I actually kinda like the new model a little, but I don't really care for the Razr. Everyone I know whom has one has broken, cracked, or loss functionality within a couple drops. It's easy to just say take care of your stuff, but accidents due happen, and you don't wanna be stuck without a phone in a critical moment due to an accident. I like heavier, thicker phones... they prove to be more durable.
Ok i've tried searching and have not had any luck. I just bought a unlocked Razr2 V9 from a gsm retailer, however I can not get my MMS settings to work right on it. I can get internet access fine but no media net or MMS. Can anyone help?
if you can find a java application called motorola setup. it will configure you mms settings for you.

Keep in mind that if you have a non-US version of the V9, you will not be able to access the 3G MediaNet features like streaming video.
