P2KToolsVS worked great for me, can do everything with it. Seem Edit, and increase volume.
on that, I was able to get the external screen to show "Recent Calls" Music Player, and Active Camera. Im still working on getting the buttons to work.

TIA!!! :)
Got my replacement V9 from AT&T today... The phone is awesome, 100% solid hinges, etc... Camera works great... Only one problem, the phone turns itself off randomly, like after 20 minutes or whatever :( Guess I have to get yet ANOTHER replacement...
Wow, my phone is REALLY messed up...Quote:

I saw the screen turn off totally, and then back on after 3 seconds by itself... WTF?!?!?

It's fuzzy and has splotches of green and blue and pink everywhere, like static.
It's real annoying.
So I just went back to my old one.
Another one should be coming within the next few days.
If that one doesn't work, hell I might just give up and ask for the Z9 or the Q9 cause I'm tired, even though I like the V9 better.
The Z9 doesn't feel right for me to text on.
Moto's build quality isn't the best.
I'm trying to unlock the soft keys so they can be edited using Personalize > Home Screen > Home Keys. But the link on the first post doesn't work.
Is there a way to set the default text entry for media net to TAP instead of iTAP? I hate having to change it every time I open the browser. Also, is it possible to make the outer LCD display who a text message is from instead of "new message"
Thanks.
Out of the frying pan and right into that fire. :-) I moved to the Q9h from a V9, and I'm not looking back. It was a good choice.Quote:

My Q9h was one of the best-built phones I've ever owned. Unfortunately, at the time I owned it I was using T-Mobile service. Lack of 3G was frustrating as well as all the branding. I sold it for a song and now I'm regretting it.
What version of WM is coming on the Q now? Are they shipping with 6.1?
Does the texting allow you only the 160 characters or can you continue to type and it just breaks up the messages when it sends it?
You can continue to type and it just breaks it it up when it sends.Quote:

-I'm afraid I'll be super slow on QWERTY cause I'm real fast on T9, plus, it'd be harder to text without looking.
-No CrystalTalk, but I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes
-Candybar form factor
-Lack of quality materials, since the Q9 is made out of plastic and stuff. And I really like the rubber finish on the V9.
-Slower CPU; the Q9 is like half the speed of the V9. Important to me because I have tons of music, video, and pictures on my microSD card.
And the last thing, I'm not sure about Windows Mobile. While I really, really like threaded SMS, I've played with Windows Mobile a little bit and it's kind of confusing to me. And slow. =/
I'll probably hop on over to the smartphone boat when (not if) my V9 breaks.
=/
I'll probably not get the Z9, even though it's a great phone. Just can't text on it.
I'm very interested in the Touch Pro though. :]
It's supposed to be coming out sometime soon.
But in AT&T talk, that's like probably a lonngggg timmeeee.
New ones are shipping with 6.1, refurbs are shipping with 6.0.Quote:
