Interesting. You're saying that you have a V9m and an ATT V9 and that the V9m is faster?Quote:

LOL. It might seem faster, but the V9m CDMA uses WAP instead of Opera HTML web browser.
In my experiene in a good 3G area, that the V9 GSM is faster than the V9m CDMA. I also beleive Gizmodo did an experiment and confirmed the same thing.
Additional Key Values: 2B - Voice Dial Key, 14 - MENU key

That's not what he means. He is just inquiring if the V9 3G is faster than V9m evdo and stating that when he switches his V9m to evdo only he notices a difference in speed over the automatic setting.Quote:

When browsing for more than a short period or sreaming video/music my V9 it gets really hot. A little annoying but it dosen't bother me that much. Also in the 4 days I've owned the phone I've had about 3 dropped calls( not because of a 3G to edge handoff) where is I can't remember ever having a dropped call on my V8. I think it's just AT&T hasn't perfected the 3G calling experience yet. Also sometimes I can see the service bars dissapear for a moment when switching from 3G to edge. Just a little honest feedback. :D
I posted earlier about my experience with V9. To recap, I took it back because I felt it's earpiece volume and clarity were not up to par with my V3xx. The people on the other end said I sounded somewhat muffled. I continually made calls with the V9 and V3xx from the same location and virturally at the same time and always my V3xx was clearer. I also felt that the speaker phone was a bit weak in volume. I believe because of the V9's metal case that it's antennae will be less forgiving. I really did like the phone (maybe not the color so much). I just re-interated this to see if others agree with me or are my experiences unique? I know some have said the contrary to my take on earpiece volume and clarity. It's possible I got a bad phone but I don't think so. Also, I thought there was suppose to be some touch keys on outter LCD but didn't notice any.Quote:

As for a smartphone, that's an option I'm keeping open but so far there isn't one small enough to satisfy me (plus I have a penchant for flip phones, also severely limiting my choices in smart phones.)
There are touchscreen buttons on the outer lcd. The speakerphone is plenty loud and I haven't had anyone tell me the sound is muffled on their end, it is definitely clear on my end. Are you sure you weren't just trying to justify a return or perhaps looking for a reason to save money and keep the trusty v3xx?Quote:

I think I'll re-assign the Cellular Video (CV) key... Just need to think of something to re-assign it to :)Quote:
