The Official AT&T RAZR2 V9 Thread.

So I just spent the last 2 days reading this whole thread and it was great. I just got the v9 through at&t and gave up my iphone (its not all its cracked up to be). I am glad to see that there are other people who change phones as often as I do. I felt like an addict or something. I went from a sync to a blackjack to the iphone and now the v9. I like this one a lot and hope that I can keep it for a while, it seems though as soon as I buy something they come up with a newer and cooler version a month later! :hehehe:

Does anyone know of an onboard file explorer-like app for the V9 that can access the internal files of the phone? I was thinking that a way around the nag problem that is more flexible than using p2kcommander to delete the j2me_domain_registry.sm file is to either use an explorer app to do a rename or perhaps to have a phone app that can rename the file to something else and then back. That way you could control the presence of the file easily as required for the various network apps.

I don't believe such an app currently exists.

I have had the v3 (original GSM from Cingular which I paid to unlock) and am happy with it ...I wonder if I should consider the v9 at all having read of some of the issues over it...also, I noticed it feels like a brick aside the v3. Wadda y'all say?

i just messed up my Telstra menu converting it to 9 icons with the Options menu as the left softkey.

can anyone post their backup, or even better edit one for me?

Odd problem: The alarm clock icon appears to be "stuck" on the main screen, however, no alarm is enabled. I've tried turning the phone off and back on, but the icon is still there. Any ideas?

Here is my mma_ucp backup from Telstra.

And I have noticed one weird thing with Telstra FW - if I define a custom Ring ID for contact, phone uses this ring sound for all events from this contact (i.e. for voice calls, messages etc.). Most annoying is that ring tone is used for message too. Your phone behaves in the same way?

I've never tried, instead I reflex phone back to AT&T face.

your reflash worked?? from a backup? or for the generic one floating around?

I reflash only CG2 and CG15. This gives AT&T face. But problem with Ring ID is still remain.
Tried to flash completely from backup and get the bootloader problem as others do.

Have you tried updated Telstra SW (9C.14.36R)?

yeah, i just upgraded to it last night, no really visible changes really.

• there some new feature in multimedia called aria charts
• still no recent names to select when u sending a txt
• you can cycle through missed, recent, dialed now

boot loader is now 04 C1 if it wasn't before...
