This should be relatively easy to mod, I'd be willing to put money down that the P2K_05 seem map will come in handy.

Yup. It has been already connected to P2KCommander by keiri. He uploaded some wallpapers from it on MotoX.

Correct. As I thought previously this is a p2k05 phone and the map works; so far I've enabled network menu, native email client, ring lights, event lights, and continuous backlight.

Has anyone seen the Motosync feature on the V9. This feature shows on the Moto site but there is no sign of it in the manual. I would like to sync my exchange server info.

Also, does the V9 "voice read back" your text messages, etc...

My V9 doesn't have a Motosync option and it also doesn't read back text messages. Maybe in a firmware update.

How did you enable ring lights? I have edited right/left soft keys via mma_ucp and changed the cl.gif. That is all so far. Not sure what else to do except hope there is a work around someday for the java nag without deleting the j2me_domain registry (or whatever file). Is there anyway to do bit manipulation on the j2me.pat files for the specific app to make it have the option to ask ONCE?

I mean I have them enabled, but dont have any to choose. Just shows (NONE)

And I also think that if at&t is seriously gonna brand this with their stuff on it, at least include a few more wallpapers/screensavers/SKINS?
Because with my V3xx, I am seriously getting bored with my Indium and Cingular skins.

I realize these things might take up a little more precious memory, but hey, us users with all these programs like P2K can simply take the ones we don't want off, right? :]

And besides, we have these little tiny cards called microSDs that hold 2 more gigs!

Last time I tried installing skins with Skiman, none of them worked, which was pretty sad, considering there were about 10 of them that I tried.

I have a question though, does the outside screen actually look clearer/better than the inside one?
Because I know they both have the same resolution (320x240), but the inside screen is .2" bigger. Any noticeable difference?

Yes, the outside screen looks a tad bit better; lines are crisper and colors more vivid.

Well my friend that works at AT&T said they got the chargers in on Fri. for the V9 so she said it will be VERY SOON that they will have the phone in. I cant wait to go check it out! Btw I wanted to ask.....can you only put a 2GB mem. card in this? Or would a 4GB card work? On the AT&T site it said 2GB mem. But I wanted to ask you guys and find out for sure! Also idk if I asked this but can it read text messages I think people said the V8 does.

I know the Sprint version will only support a 2G..... perhaps it's the same across the board.

If the Motosync was the main feature I was waiting for to upgrade my v3xx, is there a way to get that feature turned on since Motorola still lists it as a V9 feature? Would buying direct from Motorola in a month or so provide it? Since it is supported by hardware, would a hack exist to turn it back on?

I lived with the java nag on my v3xx hoping the bad press would make the v9 better and assuming based on the specs on the web that Motosync was there, but with neither of these, why would I pay the money to AT&T for screwing this up????

I'm pretty certain that the cap is 2GB, because that's how high a microSD card will go.

However, microSDHC cards go up to 4GB I believe.
And I think Samsung wants to get out some higher capacity ones too.
