I saw somewhere that you need to cut the length down to 300 kps or something. How would I go about doing this. Thanks for the help
You could use Audacity. It's a cross platform, free, sound editor. the homepage is here. just open it up and cut away.Quote:

can you post what files to delete, where the java apps are stored, etc? thanks. posted from my V9 :)Quote:

I see that you have both the V8 & V9, which do you prefer and why?Quote:

I would also enjoy hearing from anyone else out there with both the V8 and V9. Any & all feedback is appreciated, thanks.
And I thought I was alone on that one.......... :)Quote:

By carriage return he means hitting [ENTER] on your keyboard to drop down a line. How do you drop down a line with the mobile browser? I myself have never figured it out besides adding an inordinate amount of spaces which is both ridiculous and time consuming.Quote:

Yes, you need to point it to the Motorola USB drivers. You can dl them here:Quote:

Haven't been able to find a return key yet for starting new paragraphs etc. :befuddled
Try holding down whatever key you normally use for a space. That usually works on many phones... At least, while composing text messages anyhow, not sure if it'll work in the browser.Quote:

If that doesn't work, blame motorola for lack of attention to software details and design (just kidding DukeL, don't hit me now.)
Anyone have any idea on when ATT will have more colors? I almost bought this phone a few minutes ago online but just worried about the color.
Ok, I tried to read some of the guides to editing seems, but for the life of me I cannot get a grasp on any of it, and I like to consider myself an intelligent guy.
I really want to put on the seem to enable to Network menu so I can go GSM only and disable 3G. Batter life on the V9 has been pretty bad so far, so I need all the help I can get.
From something that I read, you have to save the seem with something like p2kcommander, edit it, and then reupload it to the phone.
Does someone have the seem saved which is already edited? That way I could just upload the pre-edited seem and be done with it.
Also if there is a "Complete moron guide to seem editing", it would be helpful to me. hehe
Thanks.
its the noob again. ok, i got the p2k software and plugged in the phone. i also have instaled the motorola usb dev drivers. What is the next step, do i look for the device in the left panel? i see a drop down menu but do not see the phone. also, do i need to do something in the device manager as in the tutorial video? sorry for asking so much. all help is appreciated!
Im with you on the color. I played with one yesterday at an at&t store. it didnt seem much different than my v3xx. I would still get one for the screens and camera, but I dont understand why at&t is charging more than the others. the main thing though is the color, just cant get past it. Not quite sure what they are thinking,. Dont mean to offend anyone, but its somthing I would give a girlfriend. I said at the start they would lose sales if they only launched that color, and they are. there are several of us on this blog right now.
Ah, turns out I can zoom out all the way... But when I do, the font is like 1 pixel per letter.. :) Impossible to read... Any tips? Doesn't seem close to the iPhone...Quote:

In my opinion. the color of the V9 is great, despite reading some of the messages in this and other forums. It is definitely not pink, but is a manly, brownish, maroon.
As an old assembly language programmer, it looks like it would be fun playing around with some of the toys you have been writing about. Once I learn all the arcane terminology of flex, flash, seem and whatever. Its still Greek to me but I have been reading some of the references and tutorials and hope to gain some familiarity with things soon.
Thanks for all the advice and hints I've been reading. I'll be getting back to you soon with questions.
Welcome to the HoFo and the Motorola section in particular burntmort. We'll be here when you get that V9 - enjoy yourself!Quote:
