While you can turn off the AGPS for programs such as tracking offered by AT&T mentioned above the FCC mandated AGPS is always on and can't be turned off. Supposedly this can only be used in an Emergency to find your phone but it isn't clear what defines an emergency.Quote:

I've noticed this twice now ... which is why I really *noticed* it.
It's my understanding that these newer devices, like the V9, will start shutting things down ... like buletooth ... when the battery gets low to conserve power.
I have my V9 paired to my car. It works nicely. When I unlock the car and open the door ... pop! the bluetooth is connected for hands free if a call comes in when I'm on the road. When I reach my destination and exit the car, after about 30 seconds ... pop! the bluetooth shuts down and disconnects.
This seems to work flawlessly until the battery gets below about half-bars. Again, this has happened twice now which made me notice this distinction. When the battery drops below half-bars, the bluetooth never disconnects. The bluetooth light continues to flash, and when I check the devices it still says it is connect to the car no matter how long it has been or how far away I am from the car. I have to manually disconnect the phone from the car even though there is no way in the world the phone could still be actually connected to the car (due to distance). Of course the thrasing bluetooth results in the further more rapid draining of the battery ...
Has anyone else experienced this "reverse" kind of behavior with "energy conservation"?

I used the demo version, worked pretty good. Still plays when you close the flip. Used it when I was walking the dog, only problem is they haven't adapted enough channels for the mobile version yet.Quote:

One more problem, I noticed today that my speaker phone option is gone? When I connect to a call usually you have your Right Softkey says speaker, now it says address book? When I go into options I only have the option to Mute, Hold ..... No option to turn on the Speaker? I uploaded my original 0032_0001 Seem back to my phone no luck still no speaker phone option.
Anyone any ideas?
Oh yes when I was testing this out and held down the #1 to call my voice mail it said no number was stored? It has worked for 3 days now but today something went wrong.

Take it back to AT&T, they are great with customer service. Last week I was in a car accident. Trashed my $25,000 car so I've been having to skateboard to work etc. Yesterday I took a spill and my precious(v9) got thrashed. The glass front is very vunerable & everywhere I didn't have the skin covering there was chips or chunks of the glass just missing,(by the way do not drop the V9, the exterior is very damage prone) I was devestated. Took it to my local AT&T store and showed it to a rep(really cool guy) he said it was under 30 days and switched it out no problem, made my day!! AT&T is the best hands down, reception, phone selection & service. :clapping:Quote:

Wow...sorry to hear that, I mean about your car. I have to admit that AT&T has always been helpful to me...and their CS has become one of the best IMO. MUCH superior to the "old" Cingular CS, which was borderline useless.Quote:

At the urging of George Knighton at MotoX I have gone through the p2k05 seem map and checked each seem's effect on the V9. Attached is the resulting list for 0032 with 004a/004b tomorrow (hopefully).

:doh: I'm not sure what's going on. My V9 does not seem to be able to do any data services except for regular sms. Can't send or get photos in text messages. Can't access MEdia Net or CV. On media net and CV I get an "Error, Network problem..." the details of the text is like the address is wrong but I don't think that is the case with the built in stuff.
Under security everything is shown unlocked.
Any ideas?
Sounds like your account may be provisioned wrong. I would call Customer Service and see if they have you set up correctly.Quote:

I finally found a way to sync my v9 w/ Exchange (SyncCell, a nice little proggie) but am wondering if anyone knows how to further customize the menuing and home screen so I can get my daily appointments visible rather with one click or on the home screen?
Also can i remap the CV key from the AT&T video directly to the MobiTV app?
