Not sure on 1 2 or 5 on the V9 as I did not play with thoes yet.
They do work. I'm guessing no one downloaded the videos I made of my ring lights for the V9? It has the LCD, Keypad, and Bluetooth flashing.Quote:

Please show me where? I might return my V9 for that. Only ones I see are T-mobile branded versions.Quote:

That sucks, same thing with the Krzr. Oh well I probably couldn't of done it anyway. :befuddledQuote:

This new phone can only have the blue light flashing?
The V3xx seems to be a different kind of beast than the V6 and V9; hence it's ability to do both.Quote:

And also, how does one go about placing a phone call during a web session? This was supposed to be one of the killer apps for UTMS/HSDPA and I love using it on my Samsung Sync, but does it work on the RAZR V9?
No you cannot. While browsing you can't switch to another app as far as I can see. While texting if you wan't to switch to another app you have the option to save as draft, then you can pick up where you left off. You can suspend java apps and use any other function and return to the java app and resume where you left off.Quote:

Man that sucks. So much for "cutting edge"... So not worth $300, prolly not even worth $200. :(
Anyone have any input as to how this compares to the LJ based V8?
My V9 arrived today when I got home from work. This phone is so sweet! As others have stated before, the battery cover is damned hard to remove. In my haste, I installed the battery and cover, started charging the phone without installing the sim card. After the charge was complete I tried removing the cover to install the sim card and discovered how tightly it fits. Still playing around with it, motorola has done it again!!!
If you wan't real multitasking pick up a smartphone. What's impotant to you is not important to most people, dosen't mean it's not cutting edge.Quote:

I agree!!! I'm loving it, thanks Motorola!! I sold my iPhone to get this puppy 2 days before the pricedrop,Talk about timing! I even figured out how to browse html iPhone style layout on the V9. It is really solidly built, tight battery cover, no wiggle in the flip, and being so heavy makes it really feel solid. I also love the "Haptics" on the touchscreen buttons, the volume rokr, smartkey and camera button. Good Move. :2thumbs:Quote:

Is there an option on the V9 that I am missing?
Thnaks
I have had the phone for just over 24 hours now. This phone has some of the best reception and voice quality I have ever heard. Where I work is right on the edge of 3g coverage, and currently most 3g phones are constantly switching between edge and 3g. Many are dropping calls when they switch and all are draining battery life. So far the v9, though it switches not so much, hasn't dropped a call yet. The voice quality is amazing. Going from a v3i, to a Samsung sync, to the v3xx, now v9 its incredible. This phone is the best I've used, and I used to say that about the v3xx.
The only thing I wish is that there was a way to enable reading txt messages on the outside screen, as well as have the phone talk enabled. Both I'm sure will be enabled later through some modding or updates, but just wish had them now.
Finally, the response I have gotten from everyone I have shown the phone too is phenomenal. After they see how gorgeous it looks and beautiful the screens are, they all want to know where they can get it, and how much it is. I plan on selling a ton of them. Just need maybe a few more colors(I work for a at&t agent)
Nice work keiri! :buddies:Quote:

Something I figured out that might be helpfull to others. Are you tired of the V9 browser constantly sending you to mobile friendly or wap pages when you're trying to browse. Are your pages loading with text streched out in long columns or just layed out unusable?(for ex. howardforums.com). This setting will format your pages in true html layout like on the iPhone. It won't work on all pages though.
Launch Media Net, go to options/browser setup/preferences/fit to screen/turn off.
Exit Media net and re-launch.
Now your browser will display pages in true html format similar to the iPhone. Just press 1 to zoom in, 4 to zoom in dramatically, 7 to zoom out, 3 to scroll up, 9 to scroll down, 5 to click, * for full screen viewing, 0 to turn scan function on or off. And of course you can use the D-pad as well for Navigating. I got pm'd about browsing so I figured I'd post this here for others that may be having problems or are unaware of the great browser the V9 has. :buddies:
Will this also work with a V8?Quote:

Also, can you have all 3 IM's running at once..seems like you can only have one at a time???
Awesome!!! I've never used a mobile phone for browsing before, but I'm going to start now with the V9...Quote:

Glad I could help guys! It took me a while to figure this out. I was experimenting with different browsers trying to get a true html experience when I stumbled across this setting in the stock browser. Now I can perform the functions I want like check my bank accounts etc. and pages are displayed just like they would be on my computer.(minus the flash) :2thumbs:
Has anyone else compared 3G with evdo? Here in the city if I change my band to evdo only I can browse a bit quickers than leaving it on automatic. This is just something I've noticed.
