Please help with Bricked Storm

Okay...heres my story. i had an Iphone, and it got stolen, so i decided that i can buy a storm(its much cheaper) and it would be cool

Found someone on here, bought it, used it for a day, saw that some things were a little slow, and decided to plug it into the computer, and have it update

Bad idea, as the desktop manager crashed, causing my phone to go into a reboot loop

I've downloaded telus, bell and verizon version of the storm OS and the latest version of desktop manager(, and tried to install the OS through desktop manager, but the storm keeps rebooting during that (i can hear my computers usb sound go on and off)and eventually, the program ends with the error message

So as per the help i found online, i went right to loader, including through comand prompt, with the '/nojvl' option and i get this error message

To me, it seems like theres some other OS i can put on the storm, but i couldn't find any other service providers for the storm

can anyone help?

Overview

The following error appears when Application Loader is used:

Unable to complete the loading operation. Unable to connect to the handheld during a multistage loading operation.


Cause

There are multiple causes for this issue.

1. There is insufficient power for the loading operation to complete on the BlackBerry smartphone.
2. The connection between the USB port of the BlackBerry smartphone and the computer's USB port is unsustainable.
3. The USB drivers failed to initialize during BlackBerry smartphone initialization.



Resolution

Complete the following tasks:

1. Verify that the battery is inserted in the BlackBerry smartphone.
2. Verify that the battery is not faulty.
3. Turn off the Power Management option for the USB root hubs on the computer. For instructions, see the Additional Information section.
4. If a laptop computer is being used, make sure the computer is not connected to a docking station.
5. Make sure the BlackBerry smartphone is connected directly to the computer and not to a USB hub.
6. Disconnect all other USB devices (for instance, cameras) from the computer.
7. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to another USB port on the computer.
8. Turn off antivirus or firewall programs that are running on the computer. Turn the programs on again once a connection to the BlackBerry smartphone is established.



Additional Information

To disable the Power Management option for the USB root hubs on the computer, complete the following steps:

1. Open the Control Panel by clicking Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel, double-click System.
3. Select the Hardware tab and click Device Manager.
4. In the Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
5. Right-click USB Root Hub and select Properties.
6. Select the Power Management tab and clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
7. Repeat steps five and six for other entries named USB Root Hub.

thanks, the only thing that im doing different then that is having an windows XP computer

im on vista, but ill try a XP machine a little later

and just my luck, battery charging icon has made an appearance...i should charge it for an hour or so

hmmm...charging the battery does nothing to help me, cause as soon as it has enough juice, it goes right back into that reboot loop, till the battery needs more juice

anyone else ever have this problem? or know what i can be doing wrong
im installing XP on an old computer now, so i have yet to try that option

if you are in the GTA, I'd go straight to bongowireless and PAY and get it fixed properly.

ill go saturday as i work tomorrow and wont make it there on time

this is the best feeling ever
i finally figured out my problem...its currently installing the OS

i was downloading from telus, bell and verizon, but all those models are 9530
i apparently have the 9500 and problem was solved as soon as i installed vodafones UK software, it worked

yay me

Lol, was going to say make sure you delete the vendor file and also could wipe it with JL Cmdr and then reload that way...
