Straight Talk signal issue
Let me start out by saying, I really wanted to like Straight Talk. I had been a tracfone customer since they came out. I ported my number over from tracfone & it was fully active in about 4 hours. No issues there. My web browser isn't working yet, but from reading other posts, I know that is an issue that takes a bit of time to work out.
You can't beat the prices, but I live out in a rural area that tracfone always gave me great coverage for. That said, I am having an issue with my new ST phone. I bought the LG 220. When I had tracfone, the Motorola W376g would get a full 5 bars of service at my house. My ST LG gets maybe 2 bars of service in the house if I'm lucky. I'm really confused! I have checked the coverage maps & it shows I should be getting full coverage. My husband has an LG 410g with tracfone. When I hold both phones in my hand, his has full bars, mine has 1-2 bars. Let me also state, I have a cell phone tower at the bottom of the hill I live on. I can get a full 5 bars of service down the hill near the highway that the tower is located by. I have also noticed the ST Lg phone makes know dead areas larger. Meaning I start getting no service much sooner than the tracfone will go no service. I have made calls with one bar of service & they're ok sound quality.
I'm considering switching back to tracfone. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it because ST would be a much cheaper option for me, but service is a BIG issue since I rely on my phone out in the fields & woods, etc. Never had service issues with tracfone.
