Taknarosh,
No problem.
One thing I have mentioned, sometimes we should not take those filing / certification as a sole indicator of what to come. The logic is that...
A device available to be used here in US and Canada will need to pass those requirement, make sure it will not interfere with other device / installation.
However, some devices with the FCC ID or IC cert. may not go on sales here at all. For example, some NTT docomo ketais have also cleared FCC but they are designed for docomo subscribers to use them while travelling here.
Another category is that devices may have been rejected by the carriers even though they are designed for North American markets.
So until we see it is OFFICIALLY launched, we will never be so sure even it has the blessings from FCC and IC. This PB99220 is no exception ;)
I may just have to get it for the name alone, since I'm a die-hard Triumph motorcycle rider. The fact that it's likely a renamed Desire makes it more, um, desirable than a Desire, because it doesn't have the silly name but is still one hell of a phone. :)
The only thing more perfect would be to use a branded Triumph phone on the Sprint network, since my current ride is (wait for it...) a Triumph Sprint. :)

yuck, if its an eris Ill pass. I was really hoping it would be a Desire. The specs on the Eris are not even close to the Desire.
MrDrezzUp,
Oh, I see. The CDMA counterparts that have the kind of buttons. I was thinking Droid Eris having quite a lot of different spec compares to this Triumph... Network technology, processor, memory, etc.
The Triumph is not the ERIS. While it could be plausible that Telus launches a CDMA device from HTC. The chances are that they launch basically what equates to the CDMA version of the HTC Hero would be zilch.Quote:

Where and when did you get the chance to use this phone? seems like it was pretty exclusive.
ps did it look like the htc legend? (google it)
hey i think i might have found the reason the 1 was changed to a 2 in the fcc/ic number
http://phandroid.com/2010/04/19/blac...range-website/
could this be the reason? a color change?
saber1105,
Greetings.
Not just the cosmetics, the HTC model numbering scheme (also used in the FCC ID) has certain bearing on the variants support different combo of "bands" if they are in the same "series". In this case with Desire (and its plausible sibling)...
The PB99200 has been established as the European variant of Desire (turn to Page 9 in http://www.moc.gov.il/sip_storage/FILES/5/125.pdf ) while the PB99210 should be the variant of Desire for Telstra in Australia that supports UMTS Band I (2100) and V (850)...Quote:
