Problem with getting MMS on Straight Talk AT&T phone

Hi, I recently set up my unlocked AT&T iPhone for Straight Talk. It went off without a hitch and was very simple to do. Now my problem is I can't get MMS (picture messages). I downloaded ibackupbot and adjusted the code (which I found in the Howard forums step by step instructions), but it won't back up. So I jail broke my phone and downloaded iFile from Cydis and adjusted the same codes. Still no luck. Does any have any suggestions for me? Besides not having MMS, this has been working out great. I appreciate any help or suggestions!

I just joined this forum and have never bashed anyone on it...my problem is that I am unable to send or receive picture messages, which I have always called "mms" maybe my wording is wrong?

Have they ever worked? IF no, then follow the directions and it'll work fine. IF yes, there's likely an issue affecting you, like the present network BS at ST

there is a stick on the subject,it recomends teather me to get your mms working on iphone.

Yes, MMS has worked in the past, but it hasn't worked since I switched over to straight talk.

Did you download and run tetherme and edit your MMS settings? What are your MMS server settings?

I've downloaded iBackupbot, which wasn't helpful. Should I download tether me to my computer or to my iphone?

Also, unrelated, I can't even seem to figure out how to change my profile picture on here! And I'm not THAT computer stupid. Weird.

Yes, as the instructions state, you do need tetherme (or one of the other methods). I can't help with the profile pic. I think mine is the default still after 10 years here, haha

The "Sticky"s are at the top of the list of threads for the ST section of HOFO. There is one called setting up iphone on ST or some such thing. But it is over 200 pages, and the first post now refers you to the wiki, which can be found here:

Find the section that deals with data and MMS for jailbroken devices. You should be up and running in no time. Enjoy!

Thank you to everyone for your help and patience yesterday! Tetherme worked swimmingly and my MMS is working great :)

Tetherme will work use the mms settings and data settings found in the forums here. I jailbroke 3 iPhones last night and all of them are up and running on straight talk everything's working flawless.

after I install cydia and tetherme do I have to keep those programs after the APN settings have been changed? if I delete them will it also delete the new APN settings, I ran the cydia to my iphone 3gs (8gig) and it told me I was getting low on space, and there is nothing yet on the iphone its new.

Cydia and tetherme do not take up that much space so something else is taking up the space or something is wrong. To answer your question I think they need to stay installed.
