There were actually a bunch of good posts in the Ting forum here. They are really good up and coming provider with a different experience than everyone else. I don't even think is about...
I don't see a Ting forum on here after the redesign, where did it go???
Sorry, but not true at all.
For example, family has been with Ting for 6 months and absolutely love it.
A T-Mobile employee who is posting on Engadget said that discounts ARE NOT going away.
Those will stay the same.
I'm sort of confused.
Is it possible to buy 1 years worth PTEL of cell phone service like this?
$50 Plan without discount for one year = $600
Buy 15 x $40 dollar cards = $600, but with...
Yes, there is a 5% allowance, for talk, text, and data.
Some really good news for Ting subscribers.
They will be getting the Galaxy S4, HTC One, and S3 Mini about the same time the major carriers do.
I guess the big barrier will be price of entry...
Ting is beta testing LTE BYOSD right now as we speak, which is great news. :)
Would have been a great option, if they only had roaming.
Ting just posted BYOSD Beta test for LTE devices, so the S3 would be a great option now.
I picked up a minty fresh Sprint S3 on Craigslist for $180 recently. Just waiting to put it on Ting.
...
I personally wouldn't buy an S3 from Ting right now, especially with the S4 and HTC One coming out in two weeks.
The Note 2 is a safer bet for now.
The S3 can't be brought over through BYSOD to...
I hope that Sprint gets burned really badly by not allowing LTE BYOSD. It is absolutely ridiculous.
I'm talking about true LTE BYOSD, not LTE BYOSD where you can only use 3G.
Maybe all MVNO's...
Hmm...sounds like a camera hardware issue.
Try posting on the Ting forums at their website, maybe someone there with Transform Ultra can help you.
Or how about trying out a different SD card?
What does this mean? Current Sprint customers can't use BYOSD and switch to Prepayd?
Yes, Sprint does use embedded SIMS, so I am not sure how they are going to do this. Supposedly Ting is going to have an APP that does a switch over and provisioning automatically for LTE devices.
...
1. What family plans? I don't see any on their website.
2. Which current LTE Sprint phones use removable SIM cards?
Ting says they will be getting LTE BYOSD in May/June, is this the same...
Personally, I would skip all those and get an S2 Epic Touch 4G. I got one in mint condition for $80 on Craigslist. They can easily be had for $100 on Craigs if you are patient enough. It is still...
How were you roaming? Voyager claims that they have no roaming.
ChitChat seems to offer roaming.
Sounds too good to be true.
Note sure about IL or MO, but these are the taxes my folks pay in AR:
747 Minutes Used - $18.00
2 Active Devices - $12.00
Deaf and Disabled Fund (Wireless) - $0.02
Telecommunications Relay...
This person said they use a lot of data and text a lot.
This person only uses about 100 minutes of talk and thinks 3GB on Ting is excessively priced.
$9.00 on Ting means 100 minutes of talk and...
It sounds like Walmart's $30 T-Mobile plan may be perfect for you then if you only use 100 minutes a month.
Ting just isn't for everyone.
Were you roaming in some of those places?
Because Ting does not have Data Roaming agreements like regular Sprint does.
I'll just throw in my 2 cents. My parents have been on Ting for 4 months and love the price and service. They are saving $52 a month over Sprint. I keep track of their account with Tings Android...
How about Voyager Mobile? They are a Sprint MVNO.
Unlimited Talk and Text for $19 a month.
But, they have no roaming.
