Self serve activation does not work on WiFi. The service provider authenticates your account based on the SIM card details so the cellular data connection is required.
A lot of smartphones do not have usage meters for minutes and/or they can easily be reset to zero. Checking usage on the account is the proper way.
If you work at a corporate store you should be escalating this through the feedback portal on your intranet. If you work for a dealer location, you should contact your DAR and have him/her escalate...
The prepaid iPad plans are designed to be setup from the iPad without assistance from a bell rep so I don't think you can pay cash for it.
Bell and Telus's CDMA coverage is irrelevant when it comes to your AT&T iPad.
Bell has prepaid iPad plans that you can get you're looking at $35 for 5GB of data and it can be activated directly...
City Fido has always been zoned, and many of the plans available today are competitive enough that retention plans are not as important as they used to be. Like I mentioned earlier, the other...
I don't see it as a problem for Fido. Fido has improved their offerings a lot now so credits are not as important as they used to be. Other flankers like Virgin and Koodo haven't really offered...
They did not, but based on what Rogers_chris is saying, it looks like they'll be selling the device unsubsidized in their stores to in hopes of netting data only activations right at the point of...
Just noticed on Rogers.com it says "iPad Mini Coming Soon"... Anyone know what that's about?
There is no need for this, all plans except the North American one rate are LTE ready now. If you're not getting LTE on an LTE device with an LTE SIM in an LTE area, something else is wrong. I have...
I'm surprised they didn't do this earlier. The other flankers require you to pay off your tab with your own money or wait until that 10% of your monthly revenue pays off your tab for you. With a...
All data plans except for the North American one rate plans are LTE compatible. Make sure you have an LTE SIM, phone, and are in an LTE coverage area. Also, LTE building penetration isn't always so...
This change affects a very small portion of customers, mainly customers who entered into commitments between Jan 1, 2011 and Jan 21, 2012.
If I were to make a bet, I don't see Rogers making any...
That's always been the case, even when it was $13 per remaining month.
Not true. The system will display the new HUP fee for all customers but customers who have a flextab and choose to upgrade will receive a credit of the difference between the early upgrade fee and...
Rogers will unlock the phone for $50. Third party unlockers will usually charge double or triple that amount for an iPhone unlock.
Doesn't really affect most customers. Rogers charges either your flextab balance or your early upgrade fee, whichever is lower. Assuming you received a 500 dollar subsidy that equals out to about...
I don't think the number in the system status refers to the band number. My RAZR HD from Rogers shows LTE:13 in Toronto as well.
I'd also point out that outside of US and Canada, the cell phone companies in other nations are often run by multi-national corporations that operate cell phone networks in multiple countries, and...
Isn't smartphone penetration the percentage of smartphones out of all the mobile phones out there??
Also, I wouldn't necessarily say the Bank of America one is necessarily reputable or reliable. ...
Again, difficult to compare smartphone penetration. The stats you're quoting are indicating that Canada is seriously behind, and there are multiple other studies that rank Canada as one of the...
I don't know what study you're referencing there for smartphone penetration. There are many out there with wildly different numbers, but all of the recent ones I've seen have ranked Canada as number...
Still difficult to compare. Those numbers don't factor in smartphone penetration and whether or not carriers routinely offer huge subsidies.
For a non-apple device the repair would always go through Rogers if you're a Rogers customer.
