OP don't worry you can leave your SIM card in. Your phone won't roam anywhere outside the US. I've tried in Tijuana, Canada, Caribbean and Europe over the years. Aint gonna work.

You are wrong. Straight Talk already blacklists their own IMEIs and ESNs of stolen phones. This new policy is a deliberate attempt at stopping the sale of previously owned handsets.
