Just to jump on the battery improvement bandwagon here...

My phone usually (over the past 6 months or so) lasts from 9am to 1:30pm under regular load... Usually between 4-5 hours of wirelessirc plus opera mini running all the time with constant data usage and constant bluetooth keyboard input...

Today, with fw 20.xxx it ran from 9am to 2:30pm under the exact same conditions... I realize that 5.5 hours is nothing to be proud of, but that is about a 20% increase in battery life, under the exact same conditons...

Very impressed.

Camera is super fast at processing (don't need to explain to people "hold on, here it comes, wait for it, etc" it just pops right the hell up). Ram is superb, running every app that i want, without closing others... so, opera mini, wirelessirc and music without issue (thank you nokia, finally). startup time reduced to around 20 seconds. shozu finally reinstalled and running without issue thanks to the increased ram. And uh, did i say, MASSIVE RAM INCREASE (with better management too).

I mean, unscientifically speaking here, each app now allocates about half the ram it did... so, it basically is doubling the available ram from version 12, which (follow me here) equals 36mb of ram free. now add 12mb of NEW ram (30 at startup compared to 18) times two = 24... all told, (in a phono way of figuring) we've got an increase of usable ram equal to around 60mb... the phone becomes unstable at about 3-5mb, so we've got an increase of about 42mb of ram... what is that, 200%? INCREDIBLE, and truly, a new lease on life for my very expensive Classic N95...

The ram was the biggest deal for me, and the reason i was seriously considering upgrading... now, it is a moot point. Now, i will not upgrade unless something truly astounding comes my way....

As many have said, it is a new phone.

Couldn't be happier and just had to share my exuberance,
Phono
