Well that is semi-correct. Apple store called up CS for me and had them remove my Fan wait till the Iphone was activated and put back my Fan before hanging up the phone.
Not sure if this is the normal process or if I got lucky that I walked in at 11:30pm last night and Apple store was not busy compared to the rest of the day. A couple people walked in after me and then Apple closed the Iphone line. So maybe because the rep that helped me know that I was the last person for the night she spent the extra 3 minutes required to have ATT remove Fan activate it and have the same rep re-add it back. Or I just got a nice young female rep who was doing that for everyone not sure which one it was honestly but I was happy either way.
Whole process took slightly over 30 minutes between time I got to the Apple store and the time I walked out with my activated Iphone.
Btw I all my bonus minutes and bonus sms are still on my Iphone line they were not knocked off at all.
Btw this was at an Apple store in Los Angeles. |
