OK, I figured it out. THanks Mark, it was the SAVE SOUND. and a HUGE thank you to lets456, who put up with my PM's and emails during his busy work day yesterdy THANK YOU!!!

THESE ARE STEP BY STEP FOR THE RAZOR V3C WITH THE .03 S/W:
(Basically follow Mark Ventures directions in the first post of this thread)

1. go into vzwpix.com and create an account (join up)

2. I used the ringtones from Marks' website . On the left side click on ringtone.

3. Then right click the song you want.
- Select save target as
- change the file name to something shorter and .MID
- In Save as Type: make that ALL FILES
- Hit save (this saves the ringtone to your computer)

4. Now, I tried my email account with optonline.net and it DID NOT WORK. OUTLOOK also DOES NOT WORK. So I created a hotmail account.

5. Go into your hotmail account:
- TO: your10digitcellnumber@vzwpix.com
- Leave the SUBJECT and TEXT areas BLANK
- upload the ringtone as an attachment. In hotmail it asked me how to attach the attachment, as pix or file. I chose file
- Hit send
- after a minute or so, your cell will beep and receive the message.

This is where the instructions differ from Ventures: Since it is for the v3c
6. Hit OK to view it now. when it opens, it should play the ringtone

7. Hit options (right soft key)

8. Scroll down and Save Sound (option #6)

9. The name of the file comes up xxxx.MID

10. Hit OK and the sound is SAVED

Hit end. Go to Menu, and select Tunes & Tones scroll down until you find the tone you just d/l. Hit Options again, and it will ask you: Set as Ringtone, click OK, and it again will ask you, Set xxxx as Ringtone. Click OK. and it will say, xxxx set as new ringtone.

Worked perfectly for me. Hope this helps out other's with the Razor v3c with the .03 s/w
