WTF? My MDA has Sudden Motion Sensors?!

I finally figured out why my phone doesnt charge as fast from time to time. The damn thing turns on by itself with VERY slight movements!

It isnt actually off, its just sleeping so to speak.

Basically what is happening is that when I charge it, and to have it charge fast, I usually press the power button so that it isnt using any power while Im trying to charge it. However, it seems ANY slight movements seems to "wake it up." Its as if, no scratch that, it does have SMS that seems to wake it up.

Anyone know if this is either a one of a kind phone or is there something I can do about this?

Well if by SMS you mean Text Messages, it does have those and those do wake it up.

As for the screen turning on when you move it, the only "motion sense" on the phone is the one triggered by the screen opening. If you've modified your phone to turn on the screen when you open it up (Sidekick-style..) or installed any modifications that *might* have done that, then there's your answer.

or you can have a really touchy button somewhere on the device. make sure the only button that will wake the device is the power button. if you still have this problem, then it's your power button that's overly sensitive.

I'm nearly certain there's nothing in the MDA that can detect general motions. It's probably a bad connection somewhere. I'd have it replaced.

I have looked for a way to do this but haven't found it yet anywhere. Any ideas how to do it? I really miss it. I keep opening it expecting it to work and then remember.

but yeah, im going to call Tmobile about this because this is getting annoying when I wake up to see it only charge at 50% when I started to charge it at 30% right before I went to bed.

if thats all it charges I'd get it replaced for sure. I just got back from a trip where I used my MDA with Iguidance. I had the charger plugged in and my mda went from 30% to 100% in like 4 hours plugged into my car, with Iguidance running and BT on.

well i finally i figured out the problem... i think...

basically what is going on is that when I plug it in, sometimes the wires do not touch the ones in the phone, so the simple remedy is either push the adapter down so the wires will contact. Any movement would misalign the wires causing it to stop recharging which in turn causes the phone to come on. Im not sure whether this is the phone or the charger's fault. So ill have to wait till i go home and check it out with another charger.
