Yes it would require a new number if you want the gift card. Might want to request a Best Buy manager for assistance, especially if you intend to give the device as a gift. might work...

I recently purchased a motorola triumph from radioshack after my optimus v stopped working due to some damage. Do you think the triumph is a good phone? Also today is the last day that you can get this phone from radioshack for this price. It is on sale for $229 so i used the site http://www.techbargains.com/vendor_d...ck-coupon-code to get an extra $20 making the phone $224 after taxes. I just have to wait a few days for it to get shipped in.

Most likely since it only works with generations 2 & 3 of the iPod Touch. Current gen is 4 with gen 5 due out most likely in the fall.
