This is the third such sale Target has had this fall. However, before the first one this fall, the previous one was about a year earlier. (I picked up a couple of more cards this afternoon.)Originally Posted by aerotive

But don't buy more than you can use in a year - the newest cards are expiring one year from date of purchase.Originally Posted by codenamextreme

Yes, the service preserver option is still available.
I've been a VM customer for 4 years and I've never seen a better deal on TopUp cards than the Target deal at a retailer. If you're willing to buy on eBay, you might luck into a better deal.Originally Posted by codenamextreme
The $15 Auto Top Up option is the cheapest option to keep your account open. It's $29.12 a year less expensive than Service Preserver. (Even using a $20 Top Up card every 90 days is $8.83 less expensive per year than service preserver, although probably less convenient.)Originally Posted by christoffs1

As long as you add $90 of airtime within 3 days you qualify for the service provider.
It depends, of course, on what you mean by "cheaper." Being able to get 4 $20 cards for $60 and using 1 card every 90 days, which I do myself, costs the same as the $15 Auto Top Up; but you get 33.33% more in services. If you are looking at minimum monthly cost, then the two are equal except for convenience factors. Either way, they are both less expensive than Server Preserver.Originally Posted by roomie
