Recently my Moto V3's screen has been flickering on and off. Now the entire screen is either black, or it has horizontal distortion lines through it. Either way it is completely unusable. I contacted Moto, and they said if I send $175 +S&H they will send me a refirb model. Heck for that price I can buy a new one. I ordered the phone from Simon Cells, and they said to contact the Manufacturer for warranty info. Moto says contact the merchandiser for warranty.. What should I do?

had the same problem, it might be a loose connection between the phone and the screen. If you know how to dissamble the phone you can check it.
i dont know how to describe it, but out from one of the hindge a thin cable will come out and attach itself to the mother board. That 'clip' (not sure what its called) might have been lossened.
Once i forgot to reattached it entiriley and went nuts when my v600 screen just didnt turn on after i switched cases.
good luck!

also have seen problems with this with people leaving their razr in the car in the heat. no fixing it [already tried]. i have seen someone send in their razr TWICE to motoroloa [i'm so tired of hearing, "UH OH Moto!]. and they haven't fixed it. there is no reason why you should not be able to go into the place you purchased your phone and have it sent off there. they will either send it to the manufacturer anyways, or to their own repair center. there is NO reason why they should not send it off for you. i have seen instances when a retail store is not allowed to send off for agent locations; that's all. at my store, i send phones off for everyone. soo..... hope that helped.
Try the connections first....if that doesn't work you may need a new screen....you can get one pretty cheap and put it in yourself....you will need a #6 torq driver and a small screw driver or old credit card to pry the sides apart...look up one of the guides they will help to make it easier..
