TransFlash microSD card Format
I have a Samsung 930 with a 2 gig card sold to me by Verizon folks. My daughter does as well from another store. We could figure out why it wouldn’t hold 2 gig worth of songs. Didn’t think to check until this week that it was only seeing 1 gig.

I can format with my Samsung and my external PC card reader in both FAT and FAT 32 and both work fine in the phone. Neither format at 2 gig, either in the phone or on the PC external reader.

What I can do it get this 2 gig card to format as more than 1 gig.

I read somewhere that if you format in the phone first, reformatting on the PC will be a problem. Which is what I did. I did not have the external card reader when I first purchased the card.

I bought the external reader to see if I could get the card to show up on my PC as 2 gig and I cannot.

hey guys you all keep saying that the samsung d900 does not support 2 Gig, but if you look on this website it clearly says that the 2 gig micro sd card i compatible and functional for the d900 take a gander http://www.mymemory.co.uk/compatible...g/Samsung+D900

Hi this is interesting as mymemory have stated in an email to me that Sandisk will not guarantee that the 2GB card will work with the D900 which is very confusing seeing as they are advertising this for the D900. See the reply copied below:

Sandisk will guarantee all D900's take up to 512mb but there is no guarantee above that. We find about 98% of phones will take a 1gb and about 60% take a 2gb.

According to those stats, either some regional firmware was always compatible or newer revisions have been made with 2gigs compatibility.

I just emailed mymemory to see if they have anymore to say on it, as far as I know not a single user on any internet forum has got a 2GB to work properly with a D900.
