dont mean to hi-jack your thread, but i have the 6255i (upgraded from the Moto T720) and i was wondering can you lockout the different functions, or do you have to lock the whole phone everytime you use it?

Ask in the main Nokia forum. What do you mean by you're trying to program it? Which network are you looking to change to? Most CDMA providers such as Verizon and Sprint won't accept a phone you bring with you.

I am trying to program it to the cricket network but what all do i need to change?
I don't know what you can do to program the phone but what Cricket would have to do is to allow your phone's ESN (Electronic Serial Number) on their network. Furthermore, your 6255i would probably need to have a Cricket PRL/PRL list.
what is a Cricket PRL/PRL list? how do i put it on the phone?

Hey!
do you have more details on calling the switch to do the programming
That's two different questions....
1) you call your network operator and ask them to change the ESN associated with your phone number to the new one. The network may have a certain range of ESN's enabled (corresponding to the exact models they sell) and they might tell you to pound sand if yours looks like an old phone, or one from a different network.
2) You have to program your phone number into the phone, plus either program the NAM for your home system and channel numbers, or put a PRL into the phone.
Good idea to educate yourself about PRLs before you think about editing one.
1st for change the provider of your nokia you need.
The usb data cable (CA 42 or CA 53) in agreement of your model.

Nokia Diego Service software, if somebody want this program I have it, please contact me.
1 st, you have to read the MSL or SPC code, is te same, with nokia diego you can read this (in phone settings options) and later you need download the corresponding PRL file, say me which prl file do you need and I see if I can get it...
and later, you need activate your ESN with the new provider and dial *228 to program your cellphone in the new carrier.
For internet settings only you have to introduce the IP and the miniexplorer work with your new provider but if this have brew software this don't work, however, if the provider have the soft version for your cellphone, they can flash your cellphone to his software...
I hope that you understand to me....
I have the latest PRL of cricket V1040
see you soon
