Use BitPim to read the file system and go to nvm/seem/syn_feature and right click and hexdump the file.
Now scroll down to line 00004D40 in that file and look at offsets A,B and C.
That should be your 6 digit SPC code.
You can also try using MSU or PST and P2K Seem to read seem 0055 rec 0001 bytes length E.
The SPC will appear in the ascii portion on the upper right.

Thanks very much for the info! It worked...now I have no clue what to do because my settings are different on Sprint than on Verizon...any ideas?
I notice there are some differences:
- "Mobile IP Behavior" is default as "Mob IP only" instead of "Mob + Simp f/back"
- There are 2 profiles instead of 1
- Thereis no entry in the "tethered nai" field

we need to have someone with an actual PAM plan to post screenshots of what QPST service programmer shows them. then go from there.

Oh ... I didn't see any quote.
I'd try the Sprint forums for that info. My guess is that you can't. Sprint doesn't even have EVDO, right?
One of the good things about Verizon is that they are very hackable.
I am trying to apply on a RAZR v3m, and it *looks* like the file is being saved to the phone, the phone reboots, but when I re-read the file, it is back with the DUN in the name again. Any hints as to why that may be?
Mark mentioned (post #2 of this thread) that this method does not work with the V3m... So you will need to edit the NVM_factory file... I believe Mark has illustrated this nicely on his page: http://mark.cdmaforums.com/NoPapDun.htm
.... However, with regards to the Moto phones, if the port speed is 115.2kbps or even 230kbps, wouldn't this actually limit the speed of the data transmission between the computer and the phone since it will have the full speed from VZW to the phone but the port speed will be the bottleneck as the port speed is supposed to be the maximum data rate it will allow between the PC and the phone.
THe drivers on the Moto Dev web site allow for faster PORT SPEEDS to be selected.
I have not yet tired to see what, if any impact, there is on DUN speeds...
Thanks Mark for the info... I wonder if it supports the E815 since it's not listed but I thought the Motorola USB Modem driver is pretty much universal.

I can confirm those drivers do work with my V710, E815, and V3C... But I haven't taken the T730 or V60i out of moth balls to try them...
It works on my E815 as well except the first time, it was asking for the location of the inf file so I hit cancel and it installed it properly the second time when I went to device manager. my v60c and v80 are still in moth balls as well.
