    thanx for the korean manual. sux that its all korean other than a few words here and there. but you can tell just from the pictures we totally got the most vanilla version possible. they removed the pop3 email, pictbridge, what looks like some really sweet internet features, plus who knows what else. totally. lame.

    yeah there is a ton of stuff in the korean version... i think the phone would be better if it had jumped onto sprint instead of helio, or any other carrier for that matter... but it will only be awhile until we find away to get the most out of it

    Well actually Im sure it would suck more than it already does if it landed on Verizon.
    I love my Sidekick.

    Yeah, we're definetly missing out on a lot. But guys like us are going to be the ones to blow this phone wide open and unlock all those hidden/removed features! It's only a matter of time!

    im really interested in accessing some of the NATE / GXG game sections... but I need a korean residence number..... i'd almost consider getting a passport (i think thats one way to get one ?) if i knew for sure i'd be able to download some files... i also think i found the file format that it uses for downloading, just need to get an alt. non restrictive proxy to work :/

    I've notices that Fido offers their customers a was to send BOTH SMS and MMS via their web site. That would be a nice feature for us helions. Then we could just MMS files to our phones!

    Ok, finally got that damn nate proxy to work again... so, i uploaded some files i found to my webserver (MakeMSD.wlms specifically) it looks like .wmls files are scripts that run commands.. when i try opening it in the browser a little popup comes up saying "Info: Script Execution Error"... So maybe i can write a script that opens a file..
    this is what the example wlms file contained...
    Code:
    function loadApplication1()
    {
    	Multimedia.runXVM("http://www.abc.co.kr/MakeMSD.jsp?type=1",
    	"http://www.abc.co.kr/MakeMSD.wml", 0);
    }
    function loadApplication2()
    {
    	Multimedia.runXVM("http://www.abc.co.kr/MakeMSD.jsp?type=2",
    	"http://www.abc.co.kr/MakeMSD.wml", 0);
    }
    function loadApplication3()
    {
    	Multimedia.runXVM("http://www.abc.co.kr/MakeMSD.jsp?type=3",
    	"http://www.abc.co.kr/MakeMSD.wml", 0);
    }
    anddd example.msd
    Code:
    MIDlet-Name: example
    MIDlet-Version: 1.0.0
    MIDlet-Vendor: XCE
    MIDlet-Jar-URL: http://www.xce.co.kr/app/example.jar?SERVICE_ID=900009000012345
    MIDlet-Jar-Size: 77041
    MIDlet-Description: Test Type of XHTML Browser
    MicroEdition-Profile: M_Profile-1.0, SKTP-1.0
    MicroEdition-Configuration: M_Configuration-1.0
    MIDlet-X-Update-URL: http://www.xce.co.kr/app/example.msd
    MIDlet-X-Date: 200110100000
    MIDlet-Menu-Location: /n.TOP/Msd
    MIDlet-1: example, , example
    i will report back in a little while

    Great work, justin_b! Let me know how things go with that script, too. I might also take a look at t and see if I can come up with anything. I already managed to get the opera mini .jar file onto my hero by putting the transflash in a card reader and placing it in the camera pictures area. I then transferred it from the external to the internal photo album. Now I just need to figure out how to use a script like that one to execute it.
