all of my music video and movie files are either mpg or avi. there are some files i can play and the rest i cant especially movie files. i get a message saying its not supported or something of that nature.
some mpgs and avis dont play for me either but most do.
i remember doin a search not too long ago. someone had posted a link to a xda-developers.com post that had an attachment that could change the wmp to play in landscape mode instead of portrait. so any of yall have the link? thanks.
Hello all, this is my first post here on HF. I just got my dash a couple of days ago and i am loving it, and its even better when i can come here and learn new things about what i can do with my dash.
I have one question though, if i run Agile Messenger can i run it using only the wifi? I dont have any GRPS plans since i solely rely on wifi (there are networks everywhere i go basically) so will i be charged with using data if my im using my wifi? Sorry if im a little confusing, but i think you should understand what i mean. Thanks in advanced
edit***
i actually have another question. Will i be charged for emails? i set up my email acct. (gmail) and i was wondering if i will be charged for every email i send/receive.
ha, yeah i sound paranoid, but i dont want to see a bill with excessive charges.
you can't be charged for using wifi. its like bluetooth in that its free and a feature of the phone, not the carrier. Unless you have T-Mobile and pay for their hotspots stuff.
i understand that i dont get charged for using wi-fi, but im wondering if Agile (or anyother IM service) can run on wifi alone, i am asking this only because even if im using my wifi i notice edge turns on. Maybe its supposed to but im not too sure.
Again i dont have a data plan...so should this stop me from running edge/gprs?

All programs that use data can run on WiFi alone and again that is free to use.
Quick question.. I was relieved to read that you don't need the $30/mo TMobile internet plan with this phone and can just opt for the $5.99 Internet plan.
Does the $5.99 plan offer unlimited Internet access? And, how does this plan differ from the $19.99 Unlimited Internet Blackberry plan.. why on Earth would one opt to pay for the $19.99 plan if they could get the $5.99 one?
People are paying for the 19.99 plan because T-mobile has discovered people are doing this. I have had the 5.99 unlimited internet for years. They are fixing this loophole. They already fixed this where I live. I live in Orange County California.
