All the electronics are there (Im assuming because it works). Even though you only see 2 buttons, there are actually buttons there...if that makes any sense

And btw, please help me figure out why I cant edit the FAQ...the edit button simply isnt there. I am logged in because I am editting this post now!

Is there a limit on how many times i can edit something? I just cant figure it out

My husband ordered the Dash...can anyone tell me if my MDA thememakers can work on the Dash? Has anyone actually modified their Today screen with their own themes yet, and if so, what did you use to do it? Will any of my MDA programs work on the Dash, or do I need Smartphone specific apps? What has been used to customize the Today screen on the Dash (I know it's brand new, so has anyone done it yet??)

    Thanks for any info/help/suggestions??

I have customized my homescreen using normal customization programs built for smartphone. Most of it is by hand though (sorry, xml). I did put Facade on my Dash and it is working great. Im working on making a theme right now for it.

As for the MDA programs, most if not all, will not work on a Dash because the dash is a smartphone and the MDA is a pocket pc, so you would need smartphone specific apps.

    Hope that helps.

Hey if you can, would you be willing to add the Fizz weather program and make the theme tabbed?

The Today screen can be modified by using homescreens made for the Q. One good site is KOOLdezine and you can find more by searching Google. In the Q forums there is much talk about how to create and modify homescreens. There is Qusers, everythingQ and others. Many use no pluguns, others use Fizz, Facade, etc. You place the files in the Application Data/home directory and choose them in Start->Settings->Home Screen.

There's actually 2 SMS threader progs available that work on the Dash. They both have their shortcomings when compared to Palm's messaging app.

    TXTMAN

    http://www.benhirashima.com/software/

    Shortcomings:

"You won't get message notifications like the built in messaging app gives you, but the program will play a sound, vibrate, and bring itself to the foreground when a message is received. If the phone's ringer is off (silent mode) or you are on a call, TxtMan will not make a sound when an SMS is received. However, it will still vibrate, unless you turn that off in the options."

Also i dont think web links work in the first prog.

    and

    SMS Threader

For all those that thought the website was down -it's NOT. You have to go to specific links. (strange right?)..

    http://www.trianglepowers.com/ppc670...App.aspx?ID=39

(YES the Motorola Q edition is ours

    settings here: http://www.trianglepowers.com/ppc670...rSettings.aspx

    current version is 1.07..

I haven't had a chance to test completely but below is a quote from the change log which is important to me.

"Changes in 1.06: Fixed alerts to work with current Sound Profile. Added notification when hitting Send with no text entered. Moved Lookup option to first selection. Option to allow more then 160 characters."

I like how triangle powers has an autotext function which is EXTREMELY useful sometimes .

Once again I haven't had a chance to test both completely but I've gathered that TXTMAN seems like a "prettier" interface and loads up quicker upon recieving sms.

But with the benefit of being able to associate with your current sound profile SMS threader may be better for you. Auto-Text as well.

Please try both out and post how they work out for you I personally think both are great so far!
What phone shall I get next???

    right click, save as

Should be in your start menu, if not, look in you Program Files folder, and if that fails, look in My Documents.

And if all that fails! Get Total Commander and search for it
My problem is loading it onto the Dash. It won't even show on activesync as something being able to be loaded. Or am I copying the file and inserting it somewhere? i know it has to work as you guys are using it. I'm just lost on getting the app. to work with my dash. Someone help me out, puleez

You could always create a custom sound and make it what ever length you want and put it in your application/data sounds folder and see if that will work. Or if you like the current sound you use for email then copy that over to the computer and edit it with a sound editing program like Adobe Audition or similiar so it only plays about 2 0r 3 secs and replace it.

So, wait. Are yall saying that by changing that registry entry, the JOGGR feature can now be enabled and work, eventhough it doesn't have the original JOGGR strip?

Has someone confirmed that it works?

Correct. Apparently the only changes are cosmetic and slight registry modification. The actual JOGGR strip is still contained under Tmobile's case.

Cool. I wonder if there is a way to remove the screen to make it touch screen, also change the Smart phone OS to PPC version. I am just thinking, not gonna actually do it.
