Yeah, there's a number of weird things happening with it. Now that its reset though (even though it took ages), its working flawlessly. Must have been an out of the box bug or something.

As far as what I was doing/installing. I sent a text message and it froze. The first time I was messaging on AIM and it froze.

Woohoo to that not working either.

The phone already froze on me and I've not even had it for an hour. All I was doing was IMing with the IM client and it completely locked and I had to pull the battery. I'm going to give it a try but at this point, I'm ready to jump providers.
It didn't work for me after adding 29.99 plan, support told me its going to be atleast 72hrs there working on it, best part is New dash after them trying to get edge working just died nothing DEAD Went to there T-M store in (N.J.) they gave me a new 1 still waiting (28HRS) AND COUNTING....

What are your settings in PIE saying? Mine says "Automatically detect settings." and under select network, it says: The Internet.

But if I'm using PIE and I'm on a wifi connection, it uses the wifi.

Does anyone know how to turn off T9 input? It seems pretty retarded to have T9 when you have a keyboard and it makes using Opera a nightmare since you have to press things twice to get an action done (ie., space bar twice to make a space). If I can't rid myself of T9, that'll be a deal breaker big time.

how warm? Mine is pretty much cold to the touch but when I had it plugged in via USB, it got a touch warm.

EDIT: I wish there was a way to get rid of all the T-Mobile branding everywhere... the opening and closing animations and music probably take up a good bit of memory.

So have you tried turning off GPRS in the connection manager to see if that will allow your wifi to stay connected?
