Where is the folder that PIE saves Temp Internet Files? I used the IE/Mail Attachment fix from SurrealNetworks, but I think I still had like 4megs of Temp Internet Files.
So, can someone tell me when the HTC Cavalier is coming out? I was about to buy the DASH but someone told me that the newer version is coming out soon. Please tell me what to do? Wait for the new one or just go for the DASH since we don't know when the Cavalier will come out.
Thansk.

I can't bring myself to starting a new thread on something like this.
I’m not even sure if this is supposed to work, but I thought I’d give it a try.
I recently purchased a new Dash, and have had the $5.99 tzones/t-mobileweb on my account for the past year. I applied all the settings specified on this dash faq thread. I tried using Yahoo! Go for my sbcglobal/yahoo account, and yes the software yes is a complete memory hog. So I set that to connect only manually, and exited from the Yahoo Connection client that runs in the background, which seems to have cut down significantly on the memory leak. Anyways, the app was nice, but I turned off the mail synch option and setup a pop3 account manually on the Dash. This lasted for all of a day, and I was able to receive e-mail sent to my pop3 sbcglobal/yahoo account, but suddenly when attempting to send an e-mail this afternoon from the pop3 account I setup manually, I get this error message:
Alert
_____________
A Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection to the server could not be established.
(after selecting ok these details are shown)
The Following errors occurred while sending and receiving messages:
_____________
An error occurred while downloading messages. Verify that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct and then try again.
For the most part, I have exceptional coverage, and I am miles away from any dead spots I’ve encountered with the smartphone. I wonder if t-mobile has decided to lock down some ports.
I am able to use pocket internet explorer and connect to the internet with my $5.99 t-mobileweb connection no problem. Anyone have any idea what is going on? I’ll give it some time and see if the issue goes away on its own.
Anyways, just to make sure, I thought I’d post my settings, anyone let me know if I have something set wrong.

I'm new to this forum, so if this is the wrong place to post, I do apologize. I recently just got a Dash, and I have a question concerning the Internet. I don't really need it, but I thought it would be nice to have, so I don't want to pay for it. I was under the assumption that because the phone has Wi-Fi, it would be able to detect my school's wireless network when I'm on campus, which should let me connect onto the Internet for free, correct? What I'm worried about now is when I start surfing the Internet, will this accumulate the bytes transferred and then they will bill me like that?? Does this mean I have to buy the $5.99 package that is mentioned in this thread? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

if you're hooked up to a wifi connection, you should NOT get charged for data!

If you are using WiFi you will not be charged for data useage. In addition unless you are roaming outside of the US (and have already signed up for a data plan), you will never be charged a per kb rate for data. Tmo only has a flat fee for data so you will never have to worry about that. And, if your internet is provisioned already to work on the internet and you do not have a net plan, not too worry as you still will not be charged for using data.
Confused yet Bottom line, the answer to your question is no and you do not have to worry.
ok, here's a prob that annoys the cr@p out of me. i'm surprised it hasn't been brought up yet:
often when i type (using abc mode) it automatically repeats a character. it'll happen whether i'm texting, e-mailing, or typing into a field in web browser. usually the repeated character will be the "alt" character of what i just hit.
does this happen to anyone else?
is there a fix?
Oh its been brought up a few times just not recently. So far there is no fix for this yet and we are all patiently awaiting a updated rom that fixes this issue.
and it annoys the crap out of me as well especially when I am not paying attention.
