About to take apart my K790a.
I am going to take apart my K790a this weekend and want to know if anybody else has worked on theirs?
I know there are some issues on the k750 that you need to make sure the lens cover is open before you disassemble the back cover to make sure you don't break the switch for the lens cover. Is this the case with the K790a?
Also, in theory shouldn't the K790a back cover and battery cover be identical to the k800s?
I ordered a K800 back cover (to attempt to fix my rattling lens cover), and I am just trying to do my homework.
Okay. So first thing. You don't need any torx tools, that's only for taking off the front and middle, taking the back cover only involves using a micro philips screw driver. Be sure to turn your phone off before doing this
After you have found a micro screwdriver. Take off the battery cover, take out your battery and SIM. Then you will see two screws around the middle (not at the bottom). Take your micro screwdriver and take those out from both sides
Then after you have, take something soft to pry open the back, but don't apply too much pressure. Go around the edge of the cover, leave the top for last, when your done, push the top up because it has hole which you insert it in. Then you are done
Hybrid, Do you mind taking a close up pic of the lens cover part of the case. Im trying to figure out why mine is so lose, and if it is something I could fix myself vs sending it back for warranty and being out of a phone for a month+
