quick keypad lock:
hold *z or hold the end call button
activate voice dial (built-in):
hold the home key
speed dial:
hold the number and for double digits, press the first digit and hold the second digit
joggr constant scroll:
slide once and slide again, but hold and move up or down to control the speed
function/num lock:
press the "fn" button twice to enable and twice to disable
caps lock:
press the CAP (up arrow) twice or press "fn" and then CAP, and repeat to disable
start menu shortcut keys:
after pressing start, the 8 icons correspond to the 8 keys on the top left of the qwerty keypad
QWER
ASDF
registry changes:
enable joggr:
HK_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\JogBar\Settings\Botto mKeyApplicationName to \Windows\iexplore.exe (For IE)
and
HK_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\JobBar\Settings\TopKe yApplicationName to BACK (the back button)
(thanks to staulkor) http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...4&page=2&pp=15
you can also change the TopKeyApplicationName or BottomKeyApplicationName to whatever program you want
additional functions are back and start by changing the value to
BACK
or
START
Thanks for the tip on the voice dial as I didn't know of it and was using it with a speed dial key.
I'd add for those who are new to smartphone and/or don't ever opt to read the manual: A quick press of the power switch brings up a quick list of functions (comm mgr, phone profiles)
Dan, Have you see any posts of anyone who has figured out where the shortcuts are on the S620 that allow you to remap the ie and msg buttoms on the bottom rt of the keyboard? I seems from what I read over in the T-mobile forum that they see the short cut keys in the windows file. I don't see them in the S620 (only the camera shortcut). I have done this in the past with an sp5m and its real simple to remap the keys if you can find the shorcut keys. I have not looked real hard but didn't see any other file that looked promising.

I don't actualy have a Dash yet, I'm just collecting info right now. I don't have one to mess around with yet to remap the keys. As soon as I get it I'll be looking.
