Who do you have your push email set up with?

It sounds like you have set it up through the "set up email" icon on your phone or through Tmos website which is sending you the text alerts to your phone. To disable it you will have to delete the account from Tmo and set up Push Exchange email from another provider such as Mail2Web.

Maybe someone can help with this... i have been reading these post and can not find the answer. I have been trying to install the sms threader on my phone. I have the threader on my phone but it will not open i get the message that it requirs a newer version of Microsoft .NET. i have installed that twice. Can someone give me the website to where they got the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework. And give me some step by step instruction on how to put these programs on my phone becaue every program i have tried to install on my phone will not open.

Here is the MS site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

You need to application unlock your phone if you haven't already. There is a sticky in the T-Mobile - mobile forums here at Hofo that can provide you information on how to do so. There is also a lot of other valuable information in that thread.

You could hard reset the device, by turning off, hold the two softkeys and press and release only the power button while still holding the softkeys. A black screen will show up stating to continue press send. Click on send and it will reset your device to the way it came out of the box.

You will lose all of your data by doing this so I hope you have backed everything up.

    Quick answer: Yes....and No.

Why: Mail2Web push services are free however you will have an email account set up as xxxxxxx@mail2web.com and you would have to either forward all of your email to that address for real time delivery or change your email address to a mail2web domain. Now if you want to change your email address then yes everything is free and you can stop reading.

Now if you want to keep your existing email address such as xxxxx@gmail.com. You would have to pay $1.99/mo for their premium service. This would allow you to spoof the mail2web address to whatever you want as long as you own the spoofed address. So you could forward your gmail account to mail2web. Receive your email to your device real time and reply and to the receipient it would look like you are replying from your gmail account. If you dont pay for the service your receipient would see xxxxxxx@mail2web.com.

If you solely want to use the address just so you could view your email real time then what I would suggest is to forward your email to your mail2web account but check the option to keep your forwarded mail on the original server (Gmail has this option) and then you can view your email real time for free and then reply from your account when you get back to your computer.

Hopefully that makes some sense and gives you a couple of different options.

With the paid or premium service you can also sync your calendar, notes, and contacts to the mail2web server so it works well as a back up in case you lose your phone, break it, etc...

Let me know if you have questions.

    Unbranded HTC S620 Need help

I wanted to know if anyone had a fix for the following problem. I bought an unbranded HTC excalibur and am using with cingular. The problem is in the emial function. I am using an exchange server and when I get an email I get a message that says to click here to download the rest of message. When I click that it tells me the message will download next time the phone syncs. So when I press menu to hit the send/recieve button it is grayed out.I have to go back 2 screens and hit the active sync button to get the rest of the message a little bit of a pain. But this isn't like this on other WM5 machines or the dash branded from T-Mobile.

Is there a fix. I contacted HTC and they told me I have a unbranded version.
    Can anyone help

Yes it is called Opera Mini (www.operamini.com) Download and install that browser to your phone and then use it for Myspace browsing. It is a well known issue that PIE (the browser built in to your phone) and Myspace do not play well together for some reason.
