ok maybe i can get some help i downloaded it from www.mobile.surrealnetworks.com/dashapps.htm and it downloadde fine and loads sirius and displays the channels but when i go to listen to music it gived me an error even though ive entered my sirius username and password
i get requesting stream and then it asks me for the key you have you enter the kind thats all blurred like when you signed up for the forums here
then it says logging in and will load windows media player to stream the music then the error on media player says
an unknown error 0x8007007A has occured
also downloaded dash weather but cant get that to work either
i get an error that says
General error(i.e. your guess is as good as mine)...possibly a location ID error
fix location ID and try again location id =2001
thats word for word what it says
I dont know about the sirius issue. I use XM and music dock to play XM on the dash, As far as the weather, I use Weather bug direct..it loads on the home screen where the myfavs app normally goes.

    Thanks

Use the 6.1 rose rom it has a generic Fav5 app included. Get it here:

Its the same as Kavana but with more visuals, more customization and useful apps pre-installed.
Its a very nice ROM, Ive used it for a while but personally I perfer Kavana cause its a little bit less laggy.

I just got a T-Mobile Dash, the black one. I like it very much all around but I was wondering if the IM clients such as AIM Yahoo work on Texts or data. Also, is there a Windows Live or MSN Messenger version that works on texts? Reason I want this is because I have unlimited texts. Thank you.

For Captain Totti, i think its completly seperate if thats what your asking the only thing thats a factor is the internet...

And Kokhino what kind of storage card are you using brand...size??

My question on the other hand is i seem to be having this problem with my 3 in one headphone adapter as it can read the device being charged yet not pick up the 3.5mm or 2.5mm headphone being plugged in....does anyone know why it isn't working correctly on Kavanna 6.1 ver4.1.13.51....

That is not what I asked at all, but thanks for trying.
Figured that stuff on my own later on anyway.

I would like to know two things please.

    1) How do you insert a SIM contact phone number when typing a text?

    2) When typing a new text, is there a software that I can install like a .cab file or something, that allows me to type in the To: field who I want to send the text to? It was on a ROM I flashed a while back, didn't like the ROM so I went back to Kavana's WinMo 6.1 which works flawlessly, but misses this feature. Thanks.

Unhappy Dash is in a "starting loop"

I have the original T-Mobile Dash, which I've had for about 2 1/2 years. It's kinda raggedy now but it works. However, last night I turned off my phone to charge it and when I attempted to turn it back on this morning it kept going through a sort of "starting loop." It goes through the normal startup motions, but when it usually goes to the home screen, this time it just restarts all over again. I've tried waiting it out to see if eventually it would resolve itself but it's been over an hour now and it seems to be stuck in a infinite startup loop.

    Any advice or suggestions?

Try removing the battery, put it back, and try again

Is the Dash s620 still a good pnone to get?

    1) is the Dash a bit to dated? I like the price points I am seeing.

I was thinking of buying from ebay for like $120 and going prepaid. (I would not be using many minutes)

2)The TMoble people told me no data service for prepaid.
Not necessarily the biggest deal for me as I plan on using WiFi
and also Think I read there is a way to get data using tZones...(info on that would be appreciated as most threads I've read seem dated and I don't know if information is still valid.)

3)Also I plan (Hope) to connect it to my TrixBox and use it as a VOIP Phone.
Any insight there would be appreciated as well.

and a 4th thing. (sorta not related)
Is it really that hard to view an embeded YouTube video on smartphones.. It seems even the latest and greatest have issues/need work arounds/special youtue web site etc...

    Thanks!

Hello people. I am new to the Dash (HTC S620)and would like to know is there a hack or registry edit to Prevent calls from being answered UNLESS a pin/password is entered (prior to being able to answer the call)
I have set my device to automatic lock and it works so no one can call out without first entering the password but it still allows a person to answer a call without entering a password/pincode.

    Other things of intrest:

    1.How to backup my Dash
2.Is there a compiled list of registry edits for the Dash here at HF (Howard Forums)

    Thanks Much
