Hey does anybody know how to disable the text message sent screen.

ok got a question. Now i havent had any real problems with the dash but for some reason, i have about 50 songs on a 1 gb micro sd card and cannot play them on the windows media player. tried playing them directly from the file explorer (locked up) updating library in media player (locked up). i checked all the files and they are fine, if i copy a mp3 from the SD card into my documents, they play. if i have 3 songs on the SD card, they will play. it just does not want to play a lot of songs. there is only 100 mb used on the card and ive tried every thing i can think of. EVEN CALLED TMOB ILE

. they are retarded. any way, if anyone has a suggestion please let me know. I know the card isnt bad b/c i can view all my pictures i have on it.

i tried changing the splash image once, but it didn't work (only changed the shutdown). is that what happened when you tried it? i might tinker with it again when i find time. as for the email, i don't think you can. some others asked that, but i didn't read any solutions.

try this registry change:

Disable SMS Sent Notification
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs]
"SMSNoSentMsg"=dword:00000001 ->0 to enable, 1 to disable.

odd, what folder on the card did you put the files (ie. how deep)? did you try to copy just to the card and not a folder? usually my files are 2 folders deep.

thats werid becuase mine works fine, I think i might have more than 100 mbs of music on my phone, its sounds weird that those files are locked up i really dont know anything about screwing around with registrys, but those files are not locked on mine, are you selecting the "storage card" in the WMP? or the device? becuase it seperates also try maybe the update library button in the options menu... thats just my .02 hope it helps... good luck

I guess while im on here ill ask a question, first its only slightly irritating but not enough for me to return it, but the dash txt message inbox lists the txt messages really randomly even after i apply the sort by date recieved, nothing changes, i usually have to scroll about half way throu my inbox to find unread txt's any input is appreciated.

well im now starting to think that the card may be messed up b/c i wanted to erase everything and start over so i went to format memory card and it did, but then said UNABLE TO FORMAT CARD and now i cant get anything on it. could it be a software issue or bad card?

Hey im very new to WM5 and I couldnt figure out the SMSNoSent part do I change it?

anyone ever experience any problems using the wifi?
like other hardware causing interference and causing you to lose connectivity?
Hey JwY where did you see that i have to get york to add my mac address?
i'm going to go to the computer and tech department on monday and see what they can do
i can connect to their network and login and it works for a bit but i get disconnected immediately
initially i thought it was interference from other devices operating on the 2.4ghz frequency but i'm not so sure
also anyone experience having to restart the dash everytime they want to connect to a different wifi network?

odd -- i haven't heard of that problem. did you try a reset?

it might be the card in that case. did you do this over the phone or your computer? if it's your computer, then the card may be having problems.

thanx for the info

are you using a registry editor? google a free registry editor for smartphone if you don't have one yet. you open that SMSNoSent and change the number to 1 and then reset your phone.

sorry, after searching around, it may not be as simple as the mac address. i am fairly sure it is somehow related to the way york implements its wifi login though because other people have been having problems. i would still goto the IT to see if they have a solution

Ok . . . im getting frustated , I cant get the freaking appointments to work , I mean they are there in the home screen , but they do not get announce , not by the alarm , and not by Voice Command 1.6 ?? what gives ?? yes I have set a sound for the calendar reminders , yes I have set voice command to announce reminders , so what is going on ??
