    P990i application roundup

For the benefit of the P990 owners, soon-to-be-owners, could current users tell us what app they're using and how they rate?

I've read alot about Swiss Manager -- sounds like a keeper.

    Any others?

    Thx.

To be honest, I haven't installed much of anything because the phone is too unstable to run em. I put on Agile, IM+ and swiss.

Swiss was cool but didn't use it much. Agile crashed whenever you opened a menu, and IM+ was having connection issues. I got the connection issues fixed with an update, but that crashes sometimes too and when it does I have to reinstall...

Soooo... methinks SE needs to solidify this firmware first.

i've been using swiss manager for the past few days. Seems to help the phone lots.
I might put IM+ in there shortly, but I don't use GPRS / UMTS / 3G, so I can only use it in wifi areas. Not sure if it's worth it to pay money for it.

oh. I'm thinking of puting a satnav in there.....

Swiss Manager is a nifty application. I've only been using it a day but I like it very much.

Also trying out Handy Weather. So far it hasn't correctly displayed weather for my area. Anyone else tried / using HW?

The third app I'm trying out is ACM. I've used earlier version on other Pxxx phones. Once I started using it I couldn't live without it. A must for the Pxxx owner, IMO.

Advanced Call Manager. Gives your phone more control over the calls (block certain numbers, autoreply with a txt message etc)

Can't you do all that with the P990's internal functions?

Accepted calls and autoreply with a text message are both functions of the P990. What else is on the program that is useful?

I've had my P990 for just a week so I'm not well versed in all it has to offer. I've used ACM for a few years on my P900 and P910. It's proven to be an app I can't live without.

Does the P990 come with the ability to create lists of numbers for special treatment as with ACM? That could be one key difference I use daily.

Someone posted this in the main discussion forum but I thought it should be added here for all.

If you're looking for terminal software for your P990i, check out Putty.
