It streams a few channels to your phone. Right now, I get the Discovery Channel, Sky News, Sky One and a "PC" channel which just shows a "Casino Royale" trailer again and again.
The quality is pretty good (except for Sky One) - and there's no issues with lag in the video. However, I've only used it with WiFi, as for NA users, the P990 only offers GPRS.
Speaking to you unix/linux box.
Alternatively running telnet apps via your phone. Only a shame the work firewall is so tight. I could work from home via my P990

I have had my p990i for a week now. I can say it has restarted on me min. 5 or 6 times. 3 of the times my fualt for running too much. Besides that its been a great phone so far. I am jsut a little grumpy for this UI. I mean dont get me wrong i love it over the Windows mobiles but it just bugs me that there arent that many applications for it. For example, a dekstop remote or a TV remote program, not to mention few cool games and a pdf editor. RIght now all i got on my P990i is Opera 9.1 which wont even detect my Wlan and a few themes. I mostly use the browser provided by SE.
shortcuts can be quickly and easily configured w the stock p990i apps putting any app you want just a click or three away. calls -- missed or otherwise -- can be seen in one button click from the home menu.
Yeah I know what you mean for that, but when you have the flip open those options arn't available anymore. So thats when a home screen program would come in handy.
