w810 I CAN'T USE MP3 FOR RINGTUNES OR CALLER ID OR ALARMS I'M NOT SURE WHY DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX IT I HAVE TWO OF THE SAME PHONES AND ONE WILL UES THEM FOR EVERYTHING AND ONE WILL NOT I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING BUT I CAN'T GET IT TO WORK. HELP!@!

flash it with different FW, wotan or davinci

you have to place them in the audio folder, inside the media folder ive found if you want to use them as ringtones.

Of course, if you're using a locked phone, that could prevent you from using mp3's for ringtones, etc. Do as someone else suggested - flash your phone!

im having the same problem with the MP3s....i do not want to void my warrantee tho; so flashing it is out of the question. i dont think its a locked phone so can someone explain (in detail) how to save these mp3s to work as ringtunes....cuz i dont understand

that's actually the problem...as phufighter said, the phone is locked by the company and nothing but flashing it or converting the audio files to .m4a would let you use complete songs like ringtone or alarm

Well, for starters, search the 3000 threads that are identical to this one.

Second, either de-brand, use the DMR Packager, or set the mp3 to a lower bitrate/size.

ok so then how do i convert the audio files to .m4a ........and lets say i unlock/flash it.....is it worth it or did u guys really get screwed in the end cuz the phone had problems and rogers no longer covered it? ....but once i do that...then suddenly all the mp3s can b used as ringtunes???
