DSLReports.com also known as Broadbandreports.com has always been a benchmarking website to measure download/upload tests.
Others used by the industry are: www.speed-test.net www.speedtest.net (I like this one because it shows a world map while testing - in the "select a region" area, scroll over to europe and asia to test your connection to their servers)
speedtest.cogeco.net is a good one to try as well. its a dsl-reports/broadbandreports test pretty close.
also give the rogers speed test a try. i dunno what their address is
Apprx. 6MB combined upload/download for both tests. Fujitsu P5010D (3 years old, pathetic Pentium M CPU) / Unlocked Sierra aircard 860 --> Will post results again when I get my Fujitsu P1610D next week. Cheers, Sabesh.

NICE! Holy superfast HSDPA speeds Batman! Very Nice!
Well, I just did a speed test on my coworkers Q and only got 295 Kbps while my treo 750v running only UMTS for now got 290 Kbps. EVDO sucks big time. The speeds I was getting on my TyTn with HSDPA was on average about 800 Kbps.

Funny I get nearly triple those speeds using LG 8100 as a Modem.
OT I discovered on the weekend my Unlimited EVDO plan also includes Unlimited WiFI Hot Spots.
When we become stronger, we will hit back. And we will make pain, and they will suffer. Because we would have preferred for them to live and let live, but if they play unfairly, our day of revenge will come.

Why don't you wait until HSDPA is fully launched, has true (real world) network load/congestion going on in the background and then see. 6 months after official service launch is a good time to do real world field tests.

How the hell did you manage to get unlimited EVDO????????

you nay-sayers said the same thing about EDGE when it first came out and people were getting close to 200kb/s. y'all said "oh wait till its rolled out, real world speeds will be slower"
a year and a halfAFTER EDGE was soft-launched, the speeds were even faster than the soft launch. Initially people were getting 170-180kb/s. A few months later it was 200+ kb/s
Yes, more people get on the network after a hard launch and its running for a bit, but the techs are also fine-tuning the network to scrape even more seegacious power from the network, making things even better.
